Black screen with cursor after Windows 7 startup logo (prior to login)

Hello,

I got a old Toshiba Laptop running Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit).

I fixed it's boot issue by replacing the corrupt 'rdyboost.sys' file.

Now the device goes past the boot screen.
But after the Windows 7 logo, the cursor appears with nothing but a black screen. And there's nothing being processed in the background, just stays like that forever. This is prior to the login screen I believe.

Even Ctrl + Alt + Delete does not work.


Any suggestions?

I think you have to format and install new windows again.

The whole point of asking on this forum was to avoid formatting and install Windows once again.


If I had the option to format and install Windows again, I would have already done it.

Boot into Advanced Boot Options (press F8 at startup)
Select
Low-resolution video (VGA Mode), then reinstall video driver.

Gives the same result.

For the record I have tried all the options suggested in this video:

None helped, looking for more options.

Ctrl + Alt + Delete does not work because this issue is appearing before the login screen.
And as you all probably know, you cannot open task manager before you login into the system.
