Solved Blank icons/white thumbnails + slow My Computer

Try Process Explorer Then go to File menu and select Show details for all processes.

In AutoRuns you only have to uncheck items. Not "save" anything.

You seem to have to have a lot of problems so maybe this won't be enough.... Any full backups, images?

Same thing happens in Process Explorer; they show for a few seconds, then they disappear.

Unfortunately I don't have any backups, but I don't understand how this happened. I've been away the whole summer, and when I got home the computer was all ****ed up. I figured it was because of all the updates, but it's still ****ed up.

There's been unusual lot of problems with the latest "patch Tuesday" windows updates. MS released updates that crashed many system and later on had to withdraw some updates and then replace them with new ones. If you installed the first ones that were released that might be related to your problems.

I have to go now but you could check this out:

It seems the computer fixed itself. Not sure what happened.

Anyways, I uninstalled the bad updates, just to be sure. Thanks for the help ^^,
