I followed the instructions for solving this problem at answers.microscoft.com which addressed this issue for IE 11, which is what I (used to) have. Now I do not have IE anywhere or my computer now. (I am using Firefox to post on this board.)

Should I just download IE 11 again, or will that cause more problems?

Is that URL being seen in Firefox? If so just go to your favorite site and in Options, General tab and click Use current pages. When Firefox 34 installed it set mine to itself there so that will get changed soon. And you don't have to limit it to only one page but most browsers are slower loading when having more than one page set, has to go out to find any others.

I don't want to use Firefox as my default browser. I really like it a lot, but there are issues I can't figure out about it. I want to get IE 11 back as I am more familiar with it. I use Firefox as a backup.

I cannot access IE at all on this computer right now, so I can't set a home page.

If as you say, you don't have it on the computer you probably should install it. You might start with the default in Control Panel, Programs and Features, Turn Windows features on or off.

I've been to that place you sent me to, Bright Blessings. The Microsoft instructions I followed before I posted my problem told me to uncheck the IE 11 box, which I did. Now I've re-checked it, but I still have no IE. What about trying system restore?

Yes, Thrashzone. IE 11 is listed & checked. I'll try your suggestion, but first I have a question. What happens when you don't have any add-ons? Does that limit browsing?

No add-ons simply means nothing is in the way and most likely will increase speed ;)
