Since like a month ago my pc started to freeze up at random points in time. It's not like it freezes with a particular game or software it just randomly freezes (altough it usually freezes during games i guess it uses a lot of power ) and i can't even get the task manager up. not even the num lock key on the keyboard works

All I can do is keep pressing the power button.

Now, today for the first time I got a blue screen of death "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval"

I restarted the pc and after approx. 2 hrs it froze again but this time no blue screen

I've reset the bios to default, i've run memtest 86 in boot mode and no errors were found, i ran cpu test using OCCT and no errors were found, i am currently running a gpu stress test using OCCT with 10 minutes left and no errors are currently found.

I literary don't know what else to do or test. I really take good care of my pc, i clean it up every other week, uninstall unnecessary software, defragement the hard drive and run virus scans frequently.

it usually freezes during games i guess it uses a lot of power

have you tried to un-install the games? there is a recommended un-installer program called revo that would be the best option to use, it does a proper un-install read the instructions as a guide line if you choose this method the trial for the pro would be a better choice. LINK >>> Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

REVO PRO 30 DAY TRIAL DOWNLOAD >>> http://www.revouninstaller.com/download-professional-version.php

The Uninstaller tool lists the installed programs and components for all and current user. With a choice of views, as well as a context menu, information on program components is available: program properties, their registry entries and links to manufacturer's web site, for a start. The "Search" option finds installed applications just by typing the first few letters of their name. Revo Uninstaller Pro scans for leftovers with even more advanced algorithms that are so precise, fast and very effective in search for leftovers of Windows Services, Drivers, File associations, Shell Extensions, COM components, Windows Installer components, program settings and more!

I don't really think its the games that are causing this. it maybe because of the games but not the games themselves ( I hope you know what I mean)

This morning, it brought up the blue screen of death while I was just chatting

This BSOD is usually caused by an outdated BIOS or a defective CPU

Go to your motherboard's website and check your version of your BIOS. See if there are any problems you are having that are solved by a a later version. I do not often recommend flashing the BIOS because there is a risk involved. If there is problem addressed by a BIOS that applies to your computer, consider flashing your BIOS to the latest version. If you choose to do this, flash you BIOS outside of Windows.

Run Prime 95 again to test your CPU and your ram. Carefully the instructions in this tutorial:
CPU - Stress Test with Prime95. Run 3 separate tests, one on each of the settings (Blend, Small FFTs, Large FFTs). Post back with your results.

There are no dump files in your attachment, did you run a system cleaner(such as Ccleaner) after the crashes?

I don't really think its the games that are causing this. it maybe because of the games but not the games themselves ( I hope you know what I mean)
It is totally unrelated to Windows or any software, its just a fault in the CPU/BIOS

The only way is to test each component but since no errors were reported your should update your BIOS. Are the BSODs occurring in safe mode?

hey, i'm still running prime95 and i happened to notice that my 12V is running at 11.6V
should i be worried ? or is it normal ?

Also, I happened to be browsing through my windows files and found this : WD-20110218-2203.dmp

I don't know what it is exactly. the date is 18/02/2011 so it can't be about today's blue screen
I've attached it anyway, in case someone here knows what it means and could help me.

Perform a SFC Scan

1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow

2. Type the following command, sfc /scannow and then press ENTER:

(A message will appear stating that 'The system scan will begin'. Be patient because the scan may take some time)

3. If any files require a replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Windows 7 DVD for this process to continue

4. If everything is okay you should, after the scan, see the following message "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"

5. After the scan has completed, close the command prompt window, restart the computer. (TIP repeat scan several times)
