I got an Acer Aspire 5332 windows 7 laptop...and been on it, since this morning 11am trying to find out how to fix the problem..
first of all...I've just uninstalled Norton IS 2011 uninstalled successfully, then I installed AVG IS2012 .......after restart it goes blue with a long error message. that says that says DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the bottom it says ndis.sys
....
KASPERSKY IS2010 was still there but that one is off and no longer functionable....I left it there because I had the BSOD while uninstalling that last year....
but tried uninstalling that after system restore......
still the same blue screen error
so...I went online....searching and searching....forums and rubbish from kaspersky and other companies...also got many programmes telling me they could scan it for free....turn out to be a catch
went on a forum and answers site (although I get stupid answers from some idiots and some who just cant read
... there was one I thought I might take advice from (a computer tech.).. to run defraggler and ccleaner,,,,,did that...and uninstalled KASPERSKY 2010 using control panel uninstall programmes (before running defraggler and ccleaner)
restarded the laptop.....
still the same

and something about ndis.sys error
HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM?? IS THERE A WAY WITHOUT SPENDING MORE??
I CAN ONLY ACCESS IT IN SAFE MODE AND CANNOT ACCESS THE INTERNET....
I DOWNLOADED THE LATEST VERSION ATHEROS DRIVER AND NDIS DRIVE MANAGER FROM ACER ...but I cannot use them on the laptop because they require an internet connection...
AND NOW.....I CAN NO LONGER USE SYSTEM RESTORE
"no restore points have been created on your computer system drive" 
WILL RESTORING IT TO IT'S FACTORY SETTINGS BE THE ONLY SOLUTION??
SHOULD I UNINSTALL "atheros ar8132 pci-e fast ethernet controller" ??
