Solved Blue screen when trying to reinstall windows (STOP: 0x0000007E)

I've got a new PC yesterday, by accident I installed 32bit OS instead of 64bit. So I wanted to reinstall the system as I couldn't use more than half of my RAM, now I have to say I'm not too experienced in these things so I might have done something wrong that caused problems later on.

Anyway, now when I try to install the 64bit windows 7, after selecting a boot device it leads me to "windows is loading files screen", as soon as it finishes loading files it shows windows emblem for few seconds before I get bluescreen.

I can still run windows 7 32bit normally but I can not boot installation for win7 64bit. Both copies of windows are legit.

Hello and welcome Slayzer mate what media are you using - have you got a 32bit installation disk / media and 64bit media??

If you have used the 32bit media by mistake then if you have all your data backed up personally I would have wiped the drive of the 32bit first (on another machine) then started from scratch with the 64bit media.

That blue screen message is after all inferring you do not have enough space on the drive - which begs the question how large is the drive?
