Bluetooth mouse and dual boot

Years ago when W7 was in the beta and RC stages I dual booted, both W7. The bluetooth mouse I used was located and installed on both OS, and whichever one I booted to the mouse remained connected from the start, result happiness.

When W7 was released the final version behaves differently, same set up dual booting two W7 OS, but the mouse cannot remain registered to both OS between restarts, result misery. I went back to using a non bluetooth mouse.

I now want to use a BT mouse again and would like to know if there might be a solution to this? So in a nutshell, boot to OS 1 (W7) locate and install BT mouse. Reboot to OS 2 (also W7) locate and install BT mouse. Reboot back to OS 1 and BT mouse is not registered anymore.

As I say this behavior changed with the final release, before that the mouse remained good on both OS.

Any idea if I can resolve this?

Yes - don't have a dual boot setup. It makes no sense whatsover to have two instances of Windows 7 installed for dual booting.

What an odd perspective to take, we can all have set ups that are unique for whatever reasons you wouldn't understand.

But back to the question, there is a simple solution which is to add the device without pairing it, interrupt the pairing procedure, add the mouse as a bluetooth service then cancel pairing.
