Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver

Hi all,

I am new here and I am looking for help on my bluetooth issue. I followed and tried so many help topics but none of them worked. However I think that the problem may not be on the driver but on my phone. I tried a Sony Ericsson phone and it installed the driver just fine. My nokia phone however keeps giving me a headache. I have installed 3 different drivers but it still didn't work. Anyone has the same problem making the bluetooth work on a nokia phone? File sharing works if I use PC Suite though. Any help on this is appreciated. I would really like to use the bluetooth functionality of my laptop on my mobile phone so I don't have to open another application.

Thanks,

dazzler

Try this Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver

This works for most of the PCs running Windows7 and Vista.

Thanks
Thanks in advance. I tried your method and after I succedeed installing the driver on the device manager, I removed my phone from the bluetooth devices. When I tried to add it again, it gave me the same error, meaning I had to go through those driver procedures again. I even tried restarting the PC, still the same thing. I'm trying to connect a Nokia N70 and I could use some help :D

Hi there Rajiv, I've been having massive trouble with this.

Got it installed to the end point, however windows mobile device doesn't seem to be working correctly, and I can't get the device to appear in the list of playback and recording devices. Any ideas? I've been at this for around 12 hours now, it's driving me nuts.

Solved bluetooth peripheral device....

Hey everybody, I have wasted almost an entire week searchin the internet for a possible solution. This problem is all over the net and possibly is due to some windows update tht F****d up the bluetooth drivers. Trust me there is no foolproof soln out there. The only solution that I noe which works for me is as follows....

1] Download (or from CD) and install your default bluetooth adaptor drivers.....After installation it will show yellow exclamation marks in device manager for missing bluetooth peripheral device drivers....

2] Then download and install "bluesoliel v8".....earlier versions dont work with windows 7. Following is the link for the software but its patch has a virus .....Nonetheless you can download and use in trial version....
http://94.198.240.184/download50/526..._8.0.338.0.rar

3] Restart your laptop and run a search fr bluetooth devices through bluesoliel.

This worked fr me and shud work fr u too......The software is not as good as the default one but atleast you can use your bluetooth devices....Newez, I hope that windows issues an update to fix this bluetooth shit......Best of luck...

Peripheral Device Driver Missing BlueSoleil?

Thanks for the suggestion swapnildevarkar, I did not try it yet.

For all those posting again & again the manually install Microsoft Corporation Bluetooth radio driver fix (see attachment): I, as many others, DO NOT HAVE that option in my up-to-date Win 7 64-bit Ultimate with the latest Windows Mobility Center. There is only the Microsoft & Microsoft HW options, none of witch can fix the missing Peripheral Device Driver error.

FYI, soleil means sun in French. Here is the direct link to the manufacturer of BlueSoleil as your link is broken: BlueSoleil - Bluetooth Software,Bluetooth Driver,Bluetooth Dongle

BlueSoleil 8.0.338.0 Trial: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Remote-Utils/BlueSoleil.shtml

Edit: BlueSoleil messed up a bunch of things & when trying to use it, it said Bluetooth hardware not found, Device & Printer panel would not open, Internet access status icon is not working, etc. Luckily I created a restore point before trying it & used Revo Uninstaller Pro to install that cr...p.

My phone via Bluetooth is HTC Tilt 2: I can use it's GPS data on the laptop via GpsGate, sync via WMDC but many functions do not work like modem, using laptop to listen music from the phone, etc because of the missing Peripheral Device Driver.

Hei swapnildevarkar,

I've already seen you posting this exact post in another forum. why, what is your exact problem with your bluetooth driver? I've got mine from Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver some months ago, yet it's still working perfectly fine. Even the one on my brother's laptop is working just fine. Do not generalize please....

Maybe it has just got something to do with your old software? Or....you're just trying to promote that software?? think. think.

I tried several other solutions but none of them worked perfectly as the last one that I tried after vigorously searching online.
Here's what I did when bluetooth on Windows 7 PCs that I had, didn't work with my iPhone:

- Download the 'Windows Mobile Device Center' ( current version is 6.1 ) which you can download it from Download details: Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit)
this works for both Vista and Windows 7. I've tried it on both.

- Install the downloaded software but it may not look like it worked on Windows 7 PCs. Vista automatically configures the settings on the bluetooth devices but for those who have Windows 7, here are the things you should do:

- Go to 'Device Manager' from 'Control Panel' -Or- just right-click on Computer Icon and choose 'Properties' and then click on 'Device Manager'.

- You'll see an 'Unknown Device' named 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'

- Right-Click it and click on "Update Driver Software" -Or- anyway you find it easy to bring up the Update driver window.

- Click "Browse My Computer for Driver Software" button.

- Click "Let Me Pick from a List of Device Drivers on my computer".

- Select 'Bluetooth Radio' from the list if it asked you to select and then in the next window, it will show a list of drivers with Company Names in one list and Drivers in another. In the Company List choose 'Microsoft Corporation', not only Microsoft.

- From the drivers list there may be one or more drivers with the name "Windows Mobile-Based Device Support" with different driver versions. Select one or the latest.

- Ignore any warnings and keep pressing next and then Finish at last. If all goes well, the last screen will show the message that device driver is successfully installed.

Now, after manually updating the driver for your bluetooth device, in 'Device Manager' when you click on 'Bluetooth Radios', it should display one more item which will say 'Windows Mobile-based device support'.

There are few more things that you want to pay attention to. If you have already added the device in your 'bluetooth device list' that didn't work, then remove the device and add it again. After you add it, you might need to restart the computer if it gave you a connection problem error message.

Every PCs that had Windows 7 and Vista worked after installing this software and I hope it will work for you too.

Hey Rajiv,

I tried but it doesn't seem to work.
The drivers would all install correctly, but every time I remove my bluetooth device, and re-add a bluetooth device, the same drivers with the exclamation would appear in my device manager.

Also, my see devices show my bluetooth headset as a unspecified bluetooth peripheral device.

Any troubleshooting ideas?

Rajiv,
I tried your process for installing Mobile Device Center onmy Win 7 64-bit DESKTOP system (I found the 64-bit link) and it appeared to install (I had to unplug then re-plug my device and re-do the install) but there were no manufacturers (except D-link) listed when I got to "let me pick from a list". Only the Generic radio and Generic adapter. I chose the Generic Adapter and then got the window in the attached screen shot. The radio does not recognize my MS BT mouse. The adapter is a Kensington BT Micro Adapter. I have also edited the bth.ini file and inserted these lines:

[Kensington... ]
Bluetooth USB Micro Adapter= BthUsb, USB\Vid_0A12&Pid_0001&Rev_4839
Bluetooth USB Micro Adapter= BthUsb, USB\Vid_0A12&Pid_0001
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1! TURN ON BLUETOOTH ON YOUR DEVICE !!
2: Go To: Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers
3: Right click on your device-Properties-Services-Uncheck Nokia Sync ML(Server,Client)
4: Click Apply and OK.

I hope this will help

I found THIS solution to the non-connection:
go to the Bluetooth Services and uncheck the LOGON parameter from Logon as: LOCAL SYSTEM and instead, "use this account". Type in LOCAL SERVICE then remove the 2 passwords. Stop and restart the service and BINGO! It works. Thanks to user David00000090 on the Windows Answers site.
