Hello guys,

I have a trouble I have never ever faced it!!
The laptop I'm going to install Windows 7 X86 on it is MSI CX41. But the very strange problem is this that it's second time I install Win 7 on it. Each time this message is appearing:
BOOTMGR is compressed.
Press ctrl+alt+del for restart
I don't know what the problem is.
I have done the works of here (BOOTMGR is Compressed fix - YouTube).

And also tried below way:

insert your OS CD
go to DOS window and type in your OS drive (usualy C:\) (here mine was F:\)
type in bootrec /FixMbr
then type in bootrec /fixboot
(In this step I got this message "The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted."

then type in bootrec /rebuildbcd
then type in exit
restart your computer

But couldn't fix the problem.
Please help.

Thank you for your reply. But because I don't have any credit card needed for purchasing the easy recovery essentials tool (because of my locale), I can't download it. And also I tried all the three Fixes (1,2,3) but no success unfortunately.

Solved? How?

The problem had to do with one specific (locale) software which I would install just after installing the OS. after installing OS it would work for first time but since I would install that app just after finishing the OS installation, the problem would occur for next times of starting the OS, so I simply reinstalled Win 7 and didn't install that app and problem became solved!

Thank you for your assistance. I appreciate it.:)

That would have nothing to do with Bootmgr is Compressed which happens when a box is ticked to Compress the files on C drive as shown in BootMGR Compressed Message at Boot Fix

But for programs that can't function correctly after Win7 install/reinstall: This is why it's important immediately after Win7 install to run all rounds of Important and Optional Windows Updates - after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) - because there are patches and Net Frameworks that may be required for a program to function correctly.

Remember that Win7 does not have SP2 which means it must be patched via Windows Updates before it is fully able to function correctly. You can update your Win7 installation media using Update 7 installation media - Windows 7 Help Forums however it takes about as long as running the Windows Updates so you may only want to do it if you regularly reinstall or install Win7.

Thanks for your good talks. They are valuable.
But about your first line: I have never ever compressed the drives! Why should I do that? No. Anyway I could to get rid of that message and now Windows is working well.

Thanks again to you and also to all of the nice guys of here, this forum, and this World as well!!:)
