The question to make sure I am doing things right. I put win 7 pro DVD called reinstalatio dVD that I have. Is it ok is it like recovery disk.

The I have a drive with ISO win 7 pro but not DVD I inserted the drive and cnt alt del but nothing happen.

What should I do?

Hi welcome to the forum

are you trying to do a fresh install of the operating system? if so go to bios and change the boot order so the cd/dvd drive is in the first boot device or hit F12 for the one time boot options and choose cd/dvd drive.

as soon as you turn on the computer start tapping F12 or the key that gets to bios(setup) could be the DEL key F! or F@ are the common ones.

Thanks man. Yes that was I think F10 on Sony vaio. Actually I didn't need a disk. After hitting F10 it just recovered from the partition back up in the drive. Peace.
