Bridging local adapter and VPN adapter

Are there any performance or security issues in bridging local adapter with VPN adapter? VPN is an external service provider.

Nothing is 100% secure, but I cannot see it being a huge issue.

But I am not highly knowledgeable in that area.

Performance wise with the bridged connections you would be splitting up the bandwidth between the two.

Thanks @andrew129260 & @chev65. Based on other forum input, there may be security issues to bridging the adapters, and after an understanding of routing, I discovered there was an option in my DDNS updater client to bind it to my local network adapter. Now, my hostname only has the updated IP of my ISP and I can connect to my Home PC w/o problems.
