Browser is restarting all the time

IE is always restarting while I'm on google chrome. I think it may be because there was this thing called connectify what I was downloading and it asked to download IE and I accidentally clicked the box and so I cancelled it. Could that be the reason why?

Connectify is a program that allows you to share your wireless connection to create a wifi hotspot for other devices like phones, etc. Connectify for Windows - Turn your Laptop or Smartphone into a Secure Wi-Fi Hotspot If you don't need or want this, you can uninstall it: Control Panel > Uninstall a Program.

Check that Chrome, and not IE, is the default browser.
Chrome: Wrench icon > Options > (bottom of the page) Default browser > Make Google the default browser.

Are you sure there are no other services, programs, or documents that could be prompting IE to open?
