Browser partially freezes when outlook.com page is open...

I am on IE 11 and have been since it was released. Also, I open 4 tabs when IE starts, outlook.com being one of them. I've been doing this for a few years.

Starting within the last couple of months I started experiencing various "could not access, try again later", "page not found" errors, random long delays and, worst of all, the browser would get into a state where it would not refresh any pages - when the tab is selected or even when refresh is selected while the tab's address is being displayed. When in that state, if I click on another tab it will highlight that tab and its URL will be displayed in the address bar but it won't change the page being displayed. The only thing I can do at that point is to open the task manager and kill IE and start over.

About the only time it has happened when I was actively doing something with the browser was when it was on the outlook page/tab. The rest of the time it occurs after I have been doing nothing for 5-10 minutes or have been away from the outlook page that long.

I have disabled Norton Security Suite -- a/v and firewall -- and it made no difference. I then tried the Google Chrome browser but it would do the same thing.

As I said, this has been going on for a couple of months and during that time I have come more and more to suspect that its related to the outlook site. About a week ago it quit displaying the outlook page unless I disabled the Norton toolbar. But, again as I said earlier, completely removing Norton did not change the random semi-freezing symptom.

Since more and more things were starting to point to the outlook site I removed it as one of my home page tabs and quit using the browser to read my email. The semi-freeze symptom has not reoccurred. Since the problems first started it has never gone this long without "page freezing".

I've googled this issue and have found a lot of similar/related threads but none of them have ended with an aha moment and a solution.

Is anyone familiar with this issue and what I need to do [besides quitting using web mail] to fix the problem?

Thanks in advance...

Hi use this awesome free tool,
Temp files delete,
Run this as administrator and Start the scanner,
Shut your machine down after it finishes,
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/187-tfc-temp-file-cleaner-by-oldtimer/

Anything that happens with all browsers is most likely third party security related interference,
I tested briefly will continue to see if it occurs on my end but not able to replicate the stalling/ freezing yet,
If the above temp file delete utility does not make any difference,
Open ie,
Use Alt+TO or Gear symbol/ Safety delete browser history,
General section/ Check the box to delete browser history on exit,
Delete browser history button,
Uncheck everything and delete. only the top section is actually deleted on exit nothing else.
Save or apply and okay your way out,
Close and re-open ie and test again,
Cheers.
