BSOD, 0x0000001E, ntoskrnl.exe

Run the Memtest and Seatools tests as in my first post. If they both pass, monitor the system over the next few days and see what happens

So it's been a few days and I've still had BSOD's. I think the problem is being caused by the USB ports. I had unplugged the printer and wireless mouse after one of the crash reports indicated the Renesas USB Host Controller driver was at fault. I updated the driver and had no problems for 2 days. Then, I had to plug in the printer and an hour later I was down again.

When I went back and checked the drivers of the two Renesas USB items in my Device Mgr, they were listed as the old drivers from 2011 and not the new one I downloaded the other day. Tried re-installing the new driver again and after restarting it still lists it as the old 2011 version. Thoughts?

Ok, three things.

One, work through this tutorial and report back the results. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/165554-usb-driver-general-fix-problems.html

Two, could you re-run the dump collection program and upload the latest dumps for me to look at.

Three, could you please run the Memtest and Seatools tests as per the tutorial I have given you a link to 3 times. Faulty RAM is one of the most common causes of BSOD's and I need you to test the RAM and HDD. If you are having issues with the tests, just tell me an I'll try and help.

In addition to Stephen's excellent advice:
Before installing the new drivers, are you uninstalling the old drivers? You may be installing over the top and leaving old driver remnants behind that are conflicting with the new drivers.

Fully re-install drivers:
To fully re-install a driver, use the following steps.
  1. First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Right Click My Computer/Computer
  4. Click Manage
  5. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
  6. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  7. Right click the device
  8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  10. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
  11. Install the latest driver for the device.

Alternatively:
  1. Login as an adminstrative user.
  2. First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
  3. Click Start Menu
  4. Click Control Panel
  5. Click Hardware and Sound
  6. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
  7. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  8. Right click the device
  9. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  10. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  11. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
  12. Install the latest driver for the device.
