BSOD 0x0000009c and 0x00000124

I had a machine that was giving me some issues for some time and the user complained enough to get a new machine. I am still having problems with the machine even after a fresh win7 pro 64 bit install. I have changed out the power supply. Changed the RAM, changed the hd and still having issues. It would sometimes restart while I was doing the instillation. When ever I finally got done with the instillation the pc would lock up and I would have to restart it. Now Iam getting a BSOD error. Any help would be appreciated

The WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bug check has a value of 0x00000124. This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred.

If you are overclocking try resetting your processor to standard settings and see if that helps.

If you continue to get BSOD here are some more things you may want to consider.

This is usually heat related, defective hardware, memory or even processor though it is "possible" that it is driver related (rare).

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of blue screens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

Your BIOS appears out of date, not by much:

However, I'd wait to get a second opinion on the BIOS, because that can tank a motherboard, especially if there are no backup features for the motherboard.

Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM. RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.

In short, intelppm.sys is a Microsoft Intel processor driver that should be located in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers directory. The intelppm.sys process is part of Microsoft Windows.

I had ran a memtest before I re-installed Win7 on the machine with 10 passes and found no error, but whenever I reinstalled Win7 the pc would shutdown and beep 3 times memory error so I installed one 8 gb memory stick and the beeping has stopped. I had originally updated to the latest BIOS and though I would put the old one on there but that did not work. I will go into he BIOS and see if the cpu is overclocked and try the 0x124 steps you posted.

Ok its been awhile but I had ran a memtest 10 passes no issues. Went ahead and changed out the RAM with another pc that has the same board and the other pc has been running good so that throws out the RAM issue. I installed a brand new video card Nvidia GeForce 8400GS and brand new psu but still freezes up and bsods. Iam really thinking that its the mobo but before I do I want to make absolutely sure. i ran another scan
