Greetings, i have been receiving some weird bsods.
- mainly when computer is idle and utorrent is opened.
- pc was rock stable for 2 years, and now the problems started
- checked with memtest for around 8 hours, 3 instanced opened, no problems, ran prime 95 on small fft for around 2 hours nothing
- i suspect that the network card, or something windows update related could be the cause.

Thank you.

Hello, thanks for the response.
- i have scanned with the TDSSKiller, nothing has been detected
- i manually disabled windows defender because i am using avast, also it detected nothing so far
- windows debugger suggested that the crash is cause by netframework, or a driver netframework affiliated

If nothing works i am thinking of formating, the problem is that i don't know what's the cause: netframework or the network adapter who has some pretty old drivers. (2010, atheros 8114)

Windows debugger detects the BSOD is caused by Kernel mode driver framework runtime, which is a system element, and supposed to be not a real cause of the BSOD.

This situation is a strong suspect of virus infection.

But here comes the problem.

I suggested you run Windows Defender Offline. You replied that you disabled Windows Defender for some reason. So it comes that you dont Know what Windows Defender Offline is and how it differs from Windows Defender. Have a look:

:ar: Windows Defender Offline

If you dont want to follow the instructions at your own will, its ok. But dont decide anything driven by your lack of knowledge. Most of the times it proves to be dangerous at the user's end.

EDIT: FYI, Atheros AR8114 does not have any update after 2010-04-01 (Version: 1.0.0.22 WHQL).

Greetings and than you for the reply.
I have scanned with windows defender offline and found nothing.
As you told me i suspect that hardware is failing, i raised the NB voltages to see if it help with something.
Tomorrow i will format to be sure the software is not faulty.
It is weird that i am receiving this blue screen usually with utorrent opened.
Thanks for the respose.
