Solved BSOD 0x00000101 when coldbooted, stable after reboot...

OK, i will give Malwarebytes a run, and see if i can borrow a psu from someone.

I guess, since no one mentioned it, that my log/dumpfiles didn't show anything useful?

I cannot read a memory dump; but the error code 101 is a hardware error and does not generally show a specific hardware fault.

Oh, then i misunderstod.

Anyway, i been in contact with asus tech support, and they seems to think that my MB and GPU isnt compatible.

They also recommended me to increase IOH & IOH PCIe voltage, so im trying that now.

You didn't misunderstand, some of the BSOD team members can read them. If one happens by, he/she will take a look. That is why I wanted you to upload it.

Maybe that will do the trick; I hope so. Let us know the results. It looks like you may have to get another graphics card.

So, the last changes of IOH voltage didnt seem to work. Got a new bsod now.
It started the same way, laggy and wierd sound, but this time i got a new errorcode: 0x0000009c

But this time i took longer time for the pc to crash, it started to lagg for 2 min, then everything was normal for almost 10min, then it started to lag again and the bsod appeared.
(In eventviewer you can see reports thats say thats my networkcard disconnect, multiple times. This is when its laggy.)
Maybe the IOH voltages had something to do with it?
Anyone know how high can i go before i risk the hardware?

Error code 9C, MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION. This is a hardware error code similar to error code 124: [2-Int] Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

The dump shows your video card was involved in the crash. This does not necessarily mean it caused the crash; but consider it a suspect. You also have an outdated driver:

AsUpIO.sys Sun Jul 05 22:21:38 2009 -
Asus utility driver; ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-. Update this driver or uninstall the Asus utility.

You definitely have hardware problems.

You definitely have hardware problems.

I've already uninstalled all asus software, so i don't know what they do.
In my program folder i still have some leftovers:

\asus\aasp\1.02.02\
here is the exe files: aacenter.exe, asloader.exe, asrunhelp.exe

\asus\AsSysCtrlSerice\1.00.02\
here is the exe files: AsSysCtrlService.exe and AsSysCtrlSrvcIns.exe

\asus\IO\
here is the exe files: AsIoUnins.exe
Tried to run this, but nothing seem to happen (also as admin) no process popped up or nothing.

When i searched my c: drive for "asus" i found a lot of files in the windows directory. Like i see it all should bee gone since I've uninstalled all asus software.

Everything that was installed was the latest from asus support site.

How do i get rid of theese? (Cybercore mentioned som other asus driver in an earlier post too)
Just delete them?

Also, when i monitored ongoing processes in task manager i found that something called dllhost.exe was jumping in repeatedly about every minute.
A quick googling said it was a possible malware if it was found in other places than \windows\system32\, i found it in:

\windows\system32\

\windows\syswow64\

Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-com-surrogate_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_a018e05d0d33081d

MSE & Malwarebytes didn't find anything when i scanned yesterday, should i be worried about this dllhost.exe?

I think your dllhost.exe is fine. My primary suspect is your video card. I believe you tried another video card and did not have a problem. Is this correct?

Yepp, tried a Ati HD5770 with no problem at all.

I shall ask Asus for a bios fix, dont know if they can fix them, but i would prefer to keep this motherboard, other way i must rebuild my pc to a full size.
A like it small like it is now...

Any idea what i shall do about thoose asus drivers?
(Also still have some amd/ati drivers since i tested that one, how do i get rid of them?)

Also tried to increase IOH voltage a step more, but i crashed now again. I dont bother to upload more dumps, as i see it now asus must fix this through a bios update, or i must return this MB and get another one.

To me, another graphics card would be a more simple fix than a new mobo; but I do not know what your objectives are nor how you you use your computer. I would not worry about the drivers until you fix your graphics card/mobo problem. If you get a new mobo, that will resolve the drivers anyway.

Well, the problem is that when i build this pc, i wanted a small pc, and its quite hard to find performance parts thats fits in a small chassi, so i bought parts from several resellers.
And my MB is changed on RMA, but they can credit me instead so i get the money back. That should cover another X58 MB in normal atx size and a new case.
My gpu is bought from another reseller and i dont think they want to replace my gpu because my MB is incompatible.
I pretty short on cash right now so i need a cheap fix:(

Yes, thats was one of the first things i tried.

However, now i've surrenderd.:o

Returned my motherboard, orderd a new one MB and case.
Orderd same gigabyte mb that i tried my gpu on, so now i assume that it all will work.
This weekend will tell i guess, when the new parts arrived.

Thank you all again for your help.
