Ok. After I run it is there some kind of file or something I should upload here to let you know how my computer performed? Also, should I put a fan near the computer when running the test and what temperature should I stop it at? 80*C?

Stop the test when the temperature reaches 85C.

I am running the test but I don't see the temperature posted anywhere :/ On Boozad's post it shows that it should be displayed towards the bottom of the screen towards the left hand side, but there is nothing there. How do I monitor the temperature?

I was nervous it would overheat and I wouldn't know it was so I stopped the test until I hear back from you. I attached a picture of what the test screen looked like on my computer. It also said it only "detected" the Intel GPU, but I have the AMD GPU installed so I am not sure why it didn't detect that as well? It doesn't seem like the Intel GPU is the probably since the computer works fine when I uninstall the AMD driver.

I just tried Furmark myself a few times, but I can't find a way to show the temperatures.

Are you switching between GPU's?

The computer is "switchable graphics" capable, but I have never messed with them before. It looks like it has something to do with power saving mode for how it determines which graphics to use for which program.

I would disable it, switching between graphics could cause this crash.

They want to disable the default GPU, I doubt that it would be possible.

I don't know how you could disable switching, because the switching feature is not present on my laptop as I cannot install drivers for my AMD GPU

Just found this thread and it sounds very similar to the problems I am having... http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-hel...-even-after-reset-factory-settings-0x116.html We both have the same computer (Lenovo Ideapad u400) and are running Windows 7.

There are more with this problem, standard things to check is if drivers, GPU self, overheating etc are causing it.

I read in the above post about changing the settings in the CCC. I had tried changing it from "power saving" to "high performance" before for the Switchable Graphics, but I hadn't done it for both PowerPlay and Switchable Graphics. I just went back and tried switching everything to "high performance" and it seems to be working ok!! I tried Google, Facebook and Netflix and so far so good! I'm at work now, but when I get home tonight I'll try using it some more and see how things go. I won't celebrate yet though and will keep you updated! Thank you for all your help!

That is a thing I forgot, CCC part, probably because a lot of users are having Nvidia.

If everything goes smoothly, I sincerely hope, please watch it for a few days in case it happens again.

Opened up my laptop to get on here and thank you for all your help and "mark as solved" and of course got the BSOD again Same error as before and happening when I open up internet. It was working great for a few days though! I did try changing it to "high performance" again in CCC but it didn't help this time around...

Diagnostics Test

 Clean boot

Please try the following:

• Open taskmanager
  • Go to the tab startup
  • disable everything
• Search msconfig and open it
  • Go to the tab services
  • Check 'hide microsoft services'
  • Uncheck all other services
  • Click apply and click ok
• Reboot if asked

See if the problem persist, if the problem does not persist enable in the startup tab in taskmanager 1 item and in the services tab in msconfig also 1 service, reboot and see if the problem persist. Keep doing this until you find the culprit or there is nothing left.
If the problem still persist, try booting in safe mode and see if the problem still persist
