BSOD 0x00000124 Need Assistance

Hi,
i'm getting this BSOD too (0x00000124). the laptop is a insys and what happens is:
i turn on the computer and run the last good configuration and i was able to enter the windows (vista) but if i start "working" on the pc it crashes and i got the bsod :s
i had another strange thing happening. when the windows starts it start to install new drives :s and worst, i enter "my computer" and just see the disc, the cd rom drive doesn't detect. i think testing formating the pc but since i'm not able to boot from cd it's impossible.
suggestions please
