Solved BSOD 0x124 boots to safe mode but not normal

Hi Everyone,

I've got a BSOD issue 0x0124
Boots to windows 7 and crashes just after getting to the desktop
Boots to safe mode with no issues

Previously had random BSOD 0x01 iaStorA.sys issues last one about a month ago. Not running a raid array so essentially ignored them. haven't got around to removing the

Done a bit of reading of some of the other posts and still cannot fix the issue. Read http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/373597-bsod-startup-stop-error-0x00000124.html Says it is potentially a driver issue.

Uploaded dump files

I have:
did a system restore to about 2 weeks ago
run check disk - says no issues
run memtest - three passes over 17 hrs no issues
pulled all cables from both ends and reconnected
cleaned the machine
removed ram and swapped around pairs and only had one pair at a time in.
removed all devices from usb including keyboard and mouse
removed all extra HDDs and SSDs

since I grabbed the dump files it have:
removed the video card and drivers and connected to mobo video
removed all startup programs except AV (tried without it for a couple of runs)

I have not:
reformatted the OS drive and reinstalled OS

Any further help would be appreciated

Hey did a bit more reading

Activated MS Installer in safe mode as in this thread http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/117840-uninstall-remove-software-safe-mode.html note: I had to call the key MSIServer for it to work

I uninstalled all Gigabyte programs and while I was there uninstalled the Intel Rapid Storage which I didn't need

System works o.k now will be reinstalling the GPU and driver soon....
