BSOD 116-117 When Loading Games

Hi All,

I seem to be experiencing BSOD as soon as I load games, in this case World of Warcraft. My computer will restart once or twice then generally work as normal which is quite strange.

I have downloaded BlueScreenViewer to try and find more information and it's telling me the below:

Hopefully someone is able to help me solve this because I have tried absolutely everything. I've Updated my drivers using driver sweeper to clean install them, re-formatted my PC, completely scanned it for software and hardware issues, added TDR delays to see if that helps but to no avail, re-seated hardware, cleaned for dust in case of overheating.

My next idea is to just go purchase a new video card but I'd rather not have to do that.

System specs are below if needed:
M/B: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7
CPU: Intel i7 950 3.07GHz
GPU: GTX 580
Memory: 8GB DDR3

There sure seems to be a bunch of World of Warcraft BSoD's lately.

Anyway, your single dump file is pointing to the display driver,

Sounds like you have tried a few things already, try updating your display drivers,

Do a clean install of the display driver.

• Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
  • 3D Vision Control Driver
  • 3D Vision Driver
  • Graphics Driver
  • HD Audio Driver
  • PhysX
  • nvidia Update
  (Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
• Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
• Install the driver again. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Thanks for the reply, I have previously tried the most up to date drivers and that still didn't work hence rolling back to a driver that felt a little more stable. I will try it again, with a complete clean install and see how it goes. I'll post back here with the results,

So after updating the drivers, and doing some more scans and even a WoW repair the issue still persists. This time I didn't get a BSOD or dump file but in event viewer I can see:

I'm starting to give up, I think I might just have to buy a new card I dunno. Now I've had WoW opened after that crash and haven't crashed since. Sometimes it only happens once or twice, resets then it works, it's sooo weird. I could see something in the dump file about Direct X has that got something to do with it? I have also checked for the latest drivers for that and I have them.

The only last thing I can think of is updating my Motherboards Drivers or BIOS? But I dont see how that would help.
