I keep getting the BSOD, with the same error code, and always showing tcpip.sys as the problem. I haven't analyzed the errors bit by bit, so I don't know if there are any differences. I have gotten these now on 7/16, 7/27, and 8/13. After one of the first two, I did a restore to about a week or two earlier. Since the second one, I have updated all drivers. I've run multiple virus scans and found nothing. After this most recent error, I double checked my drivers related to networking and get the message that they are current. Since the last error, I've run a check of the hard drive and memtest (7 cycles), and found no errors. Also ran yet another virus scan and found nothing. I've even checked for updates for my router, and there are none available. I use a wireless connection. I've been using facebook every time (and probably have at least one other tab open), but I also have no problems 99% of the time in the same circumstances. The other tabs open are never the same. Not sure what else to try to resolve this. I tried to fill in my computer specs, but there are several I'm not sure of.

Thanks in advance for help.

It took me multiple tries with the other tool, and I still didn't get all of it. The first two tries, using "grab all", had issues. First it wouldn't run (as admin), then it gave me an error and stalled. The next time I went through it button-by-button. The bottom two, "mgadiag" and "cpu-z" wouldn't run properly...they opened Internet Explorer, which I don't use and isn't my default browser, and didn't connect to whatever they were trying to connect to. The rest of it said it was successful, so hopefully this one is better.

Probably you are not running the programs as administrator. Both the tools work flawlessly.

Uninstall Advanced System Care. Either the name is ironic or care bears a negative meaning here. It does much more bad than good and can corrupt windows 7 installation beyond repair.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver, SynTP.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Update the following:

Let us know the result.

I clicked on "run as administrator".

I've been using ASC for years, and have never had a problem. Why would this start now, if ASC has anything to do with it. What would you suggest I use to maintain my computer?

CCleaner is enough.

Programs like ASC are designed for XP. They are not even compatible with windows 7 some core system areas of windows 7.

I just wanted to post an update. I got the exact same blue screen again yesterday. I've now done a recovery of my system, and I'm attempting to do a fresh install of my software. Thanks for the help.
