Getting random BSOD on my pc, I think its my processor but I am not 100% sure. Sometimes it happens when im gaming, but I have also had it happen when I just boot up and open 1 window in chrome. Also sometimes programs randomly just close and instead of getting a BSOD the computer will just shut off and for a few seconds then turn back on. :\ I re-installed Windows hoping it would help but it hasn't seemed to make it any better. Ive looked around but I am not very good with this kind of stuff. I have done a windows mem test but it didn't find anything. Any help is much appreciated. Not sure if it helps but my old mobo died on me (the temp sensor went bad) so this mobo is only a few weeks old.

I had been having issues getting SP1 to install but it finally worked and so far it seems to be working, granted I have had it work for a few days before with no problems, but I am hopeful XD.

Ok, so far it seems to be working (only 30 min now) but it does have a habit of working for a little bit then throwing a hissy fit :\ after the response today it froze or crashed probably 7 times, sometimes after it had just booted up. Hopefully it will start behaving its self :)

I hope so too. Just remember it is vital to have plenty of HDD space, otherwise Windows sometimes cannot operate properly, therefore causing BSODs.

Post back with the new files if you get any more BSODs.

shanester366, if I may I would like to interject something here. I have looked at the last 2 BSOD posting files you have uploaded and what I have found is a little confusing. Every one had the same bug code, 101, but the results were a few different things. The one you uploaded 2 days ago listed this. But the last 5 dump files listed it twice, making 3 of the 6 dumps listing the same thing.

Code:
 aswSnx
start end module name
fffff880`03e43000 fffff880`03f45000 aswSnx T (no symbols)

Also listed twice was your Graphics driver.

Some of the listed drivers, I see nothing wrong with, which, to me, means one of 2 things. Either the drivers are corrupted, which can happen with BSODs or you have another underlying problem. To try to determine which it is, I am going to ask you to do several things for me.

At least temporarily, please uninstall Avast using the uninstall utility ( avast! Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for avast! Removal ) and replace it with Microsoft security Essentials ( Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows )

Please reinstall your Realtek Lan driver from your Motherboard's web site. Use the latest version they offer.

Please reinstall your Graphics driver, using this procedure to try and get as clean an install as possible
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/327414-nvidia-drivers-avoid-problems.html

Next please open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

I would like you to check and make sure you are running the latest firmware for your SSD.

I would like you to go into BIOS and look and see what your SATA controller is set to ( IDE, AHCI or Raid) and just remember that.

Also, check your bios and make sure your ram timings, frequency and voltage is set to the manufacturer's specs and make not of how it is set up.

I would like you to next set your BIOS to optimized defaults. then make sure your SATA Controller is set to the same setting it is right now, then set your Ram frequency, timings and voltage to the manufacturer's specs, set your Boot options, for now, to your CD/DVD drive as 1st boot device and your hard drive as 2ND boot device, then save and exit.

Run that way for a while and see if there is any improvement. If you have a BSOD, upload the

Alright, did all you said, the SSD firmware was a little out of date so its now updated, the scan found no issues. One note tho, when I set specs to default on mobo, when I hit save and exit, before I hit confirm the computer just shut off for about 4 seconds then turned back on. I did it again but now one of the case fans is on full blast. Not sure if that means anything but I figured I would mention it. We shall see how it goes from here. *crosses fingers*

Ok, you can set a fan profile if you like. That, I'm sure, should not have any affect on the computer running other than heat. As far as it shutting down then restarting, that is common, at least for mine. Any time you change voltages, ram timings or things that are significant, the computer has to shut down to set the new values. It should not do that any more. Here's hoping it helps you.

well the fan slowed down after about 5 min of use, normally it was laggy and often crashing if i opened more than 3 tabs with multi media, but I just ran a video game and 7 youtube videos and it was running pretty smoothe and not getting nearly as hot, so Im hoping this fixed it :D
