A friend of mine has a brand new Dell Inspiron 620 with OEM 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium. She is getting BSOD about once a week, usually when not using her computer. Her printer (Epson Stylus CX4800) is old so I tried updating the printer driver - still gets BSOD.

I've attached the zip file specified in posting directions, let me know if you need anything else. Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
JG

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000000, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000001, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80002ace6ec, address which referenced memory

Hmm, it seems scmndisp.sys is the cause; Symantec is probably unrelated. scmndisp.sys is the driver for your Netgear wireless adapter. Try installing the latest updates from here: WNA3100 Software Version 1.1.3.22
Code:
scmndisp.sys Wed Jan 17 02:48:03 2007 (45ADD4B3)
If the BSODs persist after that, go ahead and remove Symantec as suggested.

Thank you! I will update the wireless adapter driver and let you know in a couple weeks if that solved the problem.

Updating the driver for the Netgear wireless adapter didn't fix the problem so I replaced it with a Dlink DWA-125 adapter and there have been no more BSODs.

Thanks again for your help!
