Hello all. I recently changed my motherboard from a MSI 970A-G43 to a Gigabyte 970A-UD3P. Installing a fresh copy of Windows 7 Home Premium since the system would not boot after the mobo swap. All the drivers are the current versions. The problem first stared when i would wake the pc from sleep. Almost immediately i would receive a BSOD. The pc would reboot then all would be fine untill putting the system back in sleep mode and waking it up again. This would ALWAYS give me a BSOD. I decided to start shutting down the pc instead of putting it to sleep. Now every time i turn on the system I will get either a BSOD or the pc booting into Windows but not showing anything on the screen except the mouse pointer. When i do get a BSOD the system restarts and boots perfectly fine the second time. I ran memtest86 for 8+ hours with no failures. I would like to fix this issue as it has become very bothersome.

PC SPECS:
Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
AMD FX-8320
8GB (2 X 4GB) Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600 DDR3 RAM
MSI R7850 Twin Frozr Radeon HD
Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM
Corsair 600 Watt PS

AVG is crashing with an Access Violation. Probably because of two (at least) viruses.

One is browser hijacker "Conduit" (tbverifier.dll) and the other is a trojan "NextLive" (nengine.dll).

I'll have to ask one of our AV gurus to come and guide you through removing these. You may need access to another PC and a flash drive to down load and run the malware remover(s). Down loading a scanner to your PC may not work.

"Conduit" can be removed with AdwCleaner... download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.
  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
  • After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R#].txt) will open in Notepad for review (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
  • The contents of the log file may be confusing. Unless you see a program name that you know should not be removed, don't worry about it. If you see an entry you want to keep, let me know about it.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
  • A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.
Using AdwCleaner v3: Scan & Clean:
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again.
Click on the Scan button.
AdwCleaner will begin to scan your computer like it did before.
After the scan has finished...

This time click on the Clean button.
Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.
Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process.
After rebooting, a logfile report (AdwCleaner[S#].txt) will open automatically (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
A copy of that logfile will also be saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder

I'll walk you through the rest of the 'clean up'. ;)

If AdwCleaner Doesn't get rid of the little bugger then this should.

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

You're getting page pool and memory corruption errors. Many have found that AVG is the cause of this.
For test purposes, Uninstall AVG then reboot if the remover doesn't request a restart.

To keep you covered and supply a light weight AV, download and install MSE then run a full scan.

Report back whether BSODs continue or not.

Well at least Adwcleaner got rid of some goodies, conduit and co can be prime examples of slowing down your computer, adding toolbars, replacing the search engine etc.

Mate if that is what you want to do then this is what you want - you will lose data if it is not backed up but will get rid of the crap.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html
make sure you pick the right version and it doesn't have "old" or a large "N" against the ISO download the rest is relatively straight forward.

Well i decided to do a fresh install of Windows yesterday. PC ran perfect. I boot it up today and get 3 BSODs back to back. I ran adwcleaner and it only found 1 registry item. I tested my memory again before doing the fresh install and got zero errors on all passes. I ran the system file check 3 passes and it tells me that it cannot repair certain files. I have attached the sfcdetails as well as the adw log.
