Hello. A few days ago, I started getting blue screens of deaths.

It happens when I use my PC for approximately 45 minutes. The first thing that happens is that everything freezes, and the windows theme gets set to basic. A second later, the blue screen of death appears. The computer does not restart.

After restarting my computer, a window appeared wanting to solve my problem. I took this information from that window:
"Problemsignatur:
Problemhändelsens namn: BlueScreen
OS-version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

Some of it is in Swedish, but I'm sure that you'll undestand the problem.

Please help me with this! I have no knowledge over how to fix blue screens. Thanks in advance.

Please do a clean install of a newer version to the Nvidia WHQL driver using this method http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/327414-nvidia-drivers-avoid-problems.html

If you would, please update your system specs being as detailed as possible If you know or can find out please tell me the make and model and size of any of your components, particularly the Hard drives, Power supply and ram.

I am now writing to you from my phone. As soon as I start windows, it crashes. Here is what I have done:
I followed the guide that you sent me, and as soon as I had uninstalled the audio, it wanted to restart my PC. I went along with this, only to find that when it was rebooting, this message appeared, with a black background:

Reboot and select proper boot device
Insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key

So, I rebooted by system and chose the boot device by pressing f12 and selecting the device at the top.
It worked fine, and I logged in to windows and continued removing all of the graphics card drivers. When I uninstalled the driver, it wanted me to reboot. So, I did. The same message appeared, do i repeated the boot selection, and it worked. I logged in to windows and started installing the latest version of thr graphics card driver. After have done this, I restarted my pc. (Memory starts to get a little fuzzy here)

In attempt to fix the white message with a black background issue, I pressed "del" on startup, and entered BIOS. There, I changed my boot priority. Making the windows harddrive come before "EFI Device". I saved the settings, and rebooted. No difference.

Once again, in an attempt to fix it, i entered the Bios. Here, I did something I regret greatly. In the exit tab, i pressed "Load default settings". I then tried to reboot. I pressed f12, and entered the boot menu. I chose the windows harddrive, and some page with "Intel" on the top popped up. It was only there for a second or two, and it continued with a white " Please wait" message at the bottom om the page. After this, the windows 7 boot screen appeared! While the logo was taking its form, it froze and a blue screen appeared. It was gone half a second later, so i redid this process to take a picture of the blue screen:

View attachment 322588

I also, after have done all this, tried pressing "Save as User Default Settings" in bios.

I am sorry. I really need help with this. I have alot of work to do, and this is delaying it. You're the best chance I have! Please help me.

Thanks in advance. - Teo

Regarding the model of my PC, i'm not sure. It is an Acer Predator g5, but not sure what the exact model is.

EDIT: My windows harddrive, that I previously selected from the boot menu, does not appear in BIOS.

It appears as if the harddrive I was trying to boot wasn't actually the windows harddrive. Never the less, when i try to boot the harddrive WITH windows, the error occurs. Note that this harddrive is in the BIOS.

The reason to why i know that the harddrive i was booting wansnt windows, was because of the size. You see, the windows harddrive holds 128gb(approximately), whilst the other holds 1tb.

Please help. :(

First, I'm not sure about uninstalling the audio. The 2 files to update were iaStor which is a sats/rais driver and the graphics driver. The user default settings should be fine for your computer, they are what Acer set as the way the operating system was installed. Are you installed in UEFI mode or Legacy mode? See if you have a 'secure boot' enabled in bios and tell me if it is enabled or disabled.

You have to boot from the Windows hard drive. If you are in legacy mode it should boot. If you are in UEFI mode you will have an option of UEFI Boot or something similar. That is what you will need to boot from. But, due to your troubles, leads me t believe there is something wrong with your hard drive. Does your hard drive with Windows installed on it, show up in bios?

Yes. But when I pressed the 'default reset' button, the second harddrive( one without windows) does not appear as an option in the boot priority. It is only displayed in Advanced > misc > AHC Port1:

The windows harddrive is port0. It's strange, because I earlier when I was selecting boot drive because of the text with whit background, i selected the non-windows harddrive, and it worked? I'm sure that my 128gb harddrive is the windows harddrive.

It would work, presuming your OS drive was shunted down in the pecking order. The HDD would be scanned for any bootable files and when none were found it would move onto the next drive, in this case your SSD and the system would boot from that. Theoretically it doesn't matter what order you set your drives in the boot sequence in the BIOS, startup will just skip through them until it finds the one with Windows installed, the only thing it would do is extend your boot time.

The reason I ask about USFI is form posy #4

In attempt to fix the white message with a black background issue, I pressed "del" on startup, and entered BIOS. There, I changed my boot priority. Making the windows harddrive come before "EFI Device". I saved the settings, and rebooted. No difference.

If you are installed in UEFI (UFI) the UFI device is what is booted, I'm pretty sure. If it cannot find the EFI Device, it most likely means it cannot find your hard drive, or the UFI Device is missing/corrupted.

Also:
I am now writing to you from my phone. As soon as I start windows, it crashes. Here is what I have done:
I followed the guide that you sent me, and as soon as I had uninstalled the audio, it wanted to restart my PC.

The only audio to be uninstalled is the Nvidia HDMI device driver and the computer does no ask for a reboot after that. That is why the instructions say to uninstall the Nvidia Display driver last. The Display Graphics Driver driver is the only Nvidia Display driver that requires a reboot.

The main drive hasn't been removed from the BIOS boot option, it's still there: C400-MTFDD128MAM is your SSD. It's a Micron SSD?

Unplug the PC, remove the side panel and remove the plugs to your HDD leaving only the SSD connected. Reboot and see what happens.

It did not help. The outcome was the same.

I really need help with this! It worked fine before I loaded default settings for BIOS.
