Hi guys, I'm new to the forums, but not to computers. I've been suffering with this bsod for a while now, it's only just started and consistantly comes up saying that Firestorm Release is at fault. Firestorm is a Viewer for Secondlife that i have been using for a long time without any issue. I was getting bluescreen earlier aswell in the week relating to my Marvell 8056 Lan drivers, but i updated those and those stopped, then the WDF1000.sys started. I'm pretty much at a loss Windebug does'nt seem to be able to pinpoint it correctly,. But i'm going to post up my dumps and so on.

This happens under load sometimes, but i've a brand new powersupply a Bequiet! 600W.

Now i remember a while back, year or so, When i turned off C&Q and C1e support int he bios, the crashes stopped, but since my computer is idle often i did'nt think it wise to leave it running full power all the time.

Just a quick note. I reset everything back to Auto in the bios Cpu/ram to rule that out.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall the program at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

  • Double click to open it.
  • Click this button only:
  • 2012-12-13_224441.jpg
  • If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.
Also, USB related issues are there in all the three crash dumps. Remove the webcam, at least as a test. Observe if it is BSODing there in absence of the webcam or not.

I'm pretty sure i unistalled SPTD last night with that program, Yeah i did unistall SPTD with that, because Uninistall is greyed out. And there's no webcam installed anymore as i removed the lifecam software yesterday.

Thanks for your reply!

The only things plugged into my USB are My keyboard mouse and Wacom Tablet.

Well, then all the possible options those can be taken form the crash dumps are already taken. If you have communicated about those in your original post, it would have been a better idea.

Test for any failing driver in that case. Enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Yep, as soon as i enabled and rebooted i got a bluescreen, i let it do it twice with RTCore64.sys
Apparently this is MSi afterburner, which im going to remove now, i really only use it to controll the fan on the gpu, but here are the dumps.

I'll let reboot normally, as im in safemode right now, and see if it bluescreens again and then give you the following memory dumps.

Well done, as both the DV enabled crashes pointed the same thing out; and afterburner is really problem causer.

And, Your plan for the next is the right action. You know how to troubleshoot a computer.

Well so far it's been a solid six hours without a Bluescreen with Driver Verifier running. I think it would have bluescreened by now if there were more issues left.

Disable Driver Verifier.

Considering it as solved in that case.

If it starts to create problems again, unmark it and continue discussion :)

Alright, i'll try doing those too. I've used kaspersky for over two years and never had an issue like that with it, it also runs on every other system in the home, 7/vista/xp. So i'm gunna do what you say, run through with those, and then re-install kaspersky.

I'll try doing the yukon drivers again, but i don't think there's any more updates for those. since last year, and the Nvidia ones are from 2010, but if this keeps up i'm going to disable the yukon and use the nvidia one on the bios.

And i thought i updated my Wacom drivers too, but I'll uninstall those and do that again.

Then I'll do the GPU drivers, and use the Driver cleaner on that.I've had a lot of luck with 320.49, but i'll install the ones yoru guide lists. :>

I'll leave the memtest running longer then. even after two passes with all four sticks.

And the computer shouldnt be hot, It runs pretty cool. It's been on all morning so it's pretty warmed up, I'll post you a screenshot from Aida 64. right now it's on the Gaming setting, i usually leave it on balanced when not doing much on it, so it runs cooler even then.

This is my PSU It's only a month or two old.

It is the indigenous problem with nforce that the updates to the drivers are not available, so you need to update /use the drivers form driver manufacturer's site, not OEM.

And, every machine is different on its environment and configuration. I hope you understand it. Kaspersky did not cause any issue elsewhere that does not necessarily mean that it must not to cause any issue here too. We have seen a very good lot of essentially identical issues with kaspersky which are solved by uninstalling Kaspersky.

Anyway, decision is obviously your. I just can guide you.

The only real updated drivers are from nforcers.com I'm going through re-installing all the drivers right now, i decided to completely remove ever driver i use on the system and try from scratch again, one by one

That is good and relieving. I suggested those scans as I noticed the resident antivirus is somehow failing and crashing.
