Im running an HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop,
3 GB RAM
New WD Blue Scorpion 160gb HD
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
Installed Windows 7 1 month ago.

I consider myself pretty savvy when it comes to computers, but this has me stumped?? usually 2-3 minutes after login, the computer will blue screen. I found one problem already with Tages SA security drivers, and they have been removed, yet the problem persists. i have run Malwarebyte full scan, Microsoft Secruity Essentials full scan, and scanned with Combofix. and i haven't found a single reason for this to happen!! the newest blue screens point out a "IRQL" error and point to ataport.sys

can anyone help me out??

Hello and welcome to SF!

This is strange. Part of W7s' security module seems to be disabled or has a problem.
Microsoft Windows AntiMalware protection system
The driver for this cannot be verified and that is quite unusual. Are you fully up to date with Windows Update?
Please go to your Maintenance Center and check the Windows Update status. Make sure you are up to date, do them one by one manually if needed.
For help or reset see: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/91738-windows-update-reset.html

Another strange thing is that the standard Windows driver for parallel port might be damaged. Not sure here. Do you have such a port?

Also, for our help to be more complete, please fill in all details: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

There might be a couple of drivers that need updating like your Realtek audio driver, yours is 2008 and the current one is 2009...:

yes, im fully up to date with windows, and there is a parallel port on the laptop, but hasn't been used as long as i have used it lol.

i just tried to follow those instructions, but perfmon crashes before telling me anything, and the program finishes gathering the info, but won't put out a file, even after being run in Administrator mode. im really stumped here, and any help would be greatly appreciated. i don't want to have to reinstall windows if at all possible...
