Solved BSOD bugcheck 0x000000d1

When I turn on my Windows 7 computer or wake it up from hibernate status then it crashes after about 10 mto 15 min but during restart system "suggests" normal start instead of restart in a Safe Mode. It reports bugcheck 0x000000d1 and points out NETw5s64.sys file.

This is the information that I received for the error that my windows detected:

The original OS on the system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with SP1.
Windows 7 came pre-installed on the system.
System and OS installation are 1 year old.
The computer is Dell Inc. laptop XPS 15 (L501x) with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 840 @ 1.87GHz and 8 GB RAM. I use wireless network card Intel(R) WiFi Link 1000 BGN and I have wired Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller which I never use.

Remove Mcafee from your system for testing purposes.



Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials with windows firewall enable.



Update sofware\driver for your Intel 5100 wifi.

Finish with the above steps and post back with results\news.

Driver for Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN network card is up to date acc. to Dell Inc. because on http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...&keyword="Intel+WiFi+Link+1000"&lang=eng#help you can read: (quotation)
"Intel recommends that you obtain and use the software provided via your laptop manufacturer."

What Device Driver Update software would you recommend to buy? There are a few of such software and each one of them costs about $30 but not all of them are good. Besides I use CCleaner and PowerSuite with RegistryBooster and System Tweaker. What is your opinion about them?

What about the other errors and warnings in Event Viewer?

Dont use any registry cleaner or registry booster.


In most of the cases you dont "fix" but you mess up the system with them.


Ccleaner the free version its ok.


Download the most recent software\driver for your Intel 5100 wifi.

Uninstall the Intel 5100 wifi software\driver,install the fresh downloaded software\driver.



Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
Let it run until at least 9 passes are completed, or errors are found (whichever comes first). The longer you run it, the better.



Finish with the above steps and post back.

I have installed driver ver. 14.3.0.6 dated 2011-10-27 for Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN network card from Intel side but Dell OEM Internet side has still driver 13.2.1.5 to download. Then I have run Memtest86+ for 16 passes during 30 hours without any error. Today I started my PC for fourth day without any BSOD so I think the problem is solved.
