I'm getting BSOD's about once per day, doing random things or sometimes when I'm AFK.

I ran memtest86 for 16 hours it went thru it's complete set of 10 tests 5 times and found 12 hours total. I assume it ran 10's of thousands of test, is any too many do I need to replace my RAM or ???

I appreciate any help you can offer.

I'm going to install memory , that memtest 86 has me nervous. Once I get that done I will clean up the logs and then repost if I receive another BSOD.

Thank you for your help.

I'm not sure if I understand this correct.
You ran memtest for 16 hours, it finished 10 tests a few times and found 12 errors I assume you mean?

Thousands of tests is impossible for 16 hours and there doesn't exists something as too many tests with this kind of tests.

Yes I ran memtest for 16 hours, there are 10 test in a cycle. It ran thru all 10 test 5 times, watching it run it was writing and reading what appeared to be dozes of address per minute. It found 12 errors in "Test 6 [Block move, 64 moves]"

I've continued to research and many people are adamant any errors is too many, so I've ordered new memory to try and resolve the issue.

Thank you again for the quick reply.

You have 16GB of memory, each bit is tested.
1 Byte is 8 bits, 1024 Bytes is 1KiloByte, that is why you see so many reads/writes.

A single error is indeed indicative of either memory or a slot, I would recommend that you follow the quote below
Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.
