BSOD during hibernate on a new laptop (reboots immediately)

New Dell Latitude E5530 w/ docking station.

I have a Dell monitor hooked up HDMI directly to laptop, another dvi thru the docking station. I leave the laptop constantly closed and use both monitors.

I think this is important because I noticed if I turned off both monitors I'd hear the windows sound for 'devices disconnecting' and then the computer would seem to instantly go into hibernate mode... and reboot with a quick BSOD (I turned a monitor back on to see what was going on).

I'd have to sign back in after a reboot, and Windows Recovered from an Unexpected Error would appear.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:

OS Version: 6_1_7601

Product: 256_1

Attached per forum instruction is my zip file. It also crashes if I left the computer on untouched for a few hours.

I changed settings yesterday for 'what to do when the lid is closed' to basically do nothing... and now it seems to work better while only going to sleep after a long period of inactivity.

I think the problem is only when it hibernates but just an uneducated guess.

Other computer particulars are in my profile. My first post to this forum so I'm hoping I gave you proper and correct format info. Thank you.

It's a built in webcam into my Dell SP2309W monitor made by Creative.

There are no Dell updates for this product, when I use device manager to 'update driver' it says I have the latest version.

Windows update did snag a Dell Inc. - Bus Controllers and Ports, Display - Dell SP2309W(HDMI) driver for me 2 days ago, but this was before I created the dump file so that must not have worked.

The only way to search for a creative driver is to give them a model # of a creative product, which I'm not able to do since it's built in to my Dell.

Is there something obvious I'm missing? Sorry for follow up, you hit the nail right on the head with your diagnosis.

I did, strangely they only offered an update for vista.

So I did the duct tape fix and I unplugged my monitor usb cable. No more webcam but no more crash. = \
