Hi, I was trying to install Guild Wars 2 and I barely got past autorun when BSOD happened. Tried installing again, happened again. This problem has actually been occurring a few times before (playing other games and random moments). All I know is that the code says 116.

Also, I tend to make my laptop sleep a lot instead of shutting it down, maybe this is very bad?

I've uploaded my diagnostics, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you guys!

I *think* I know what the problem was...I randomly read some threads which prompted me to check my drivers..turns out my Intel graphics driver was outdated. Now that I've updated it I seem to have no problem installing the game, but the DVD drive made a REALLY loud noise all through the installation process...I'm guessing it's a hardware problem.

Anyhoo, thanks a lot for the link!

With either Guild Wars game, I always recommend installing from the web client instead of the disk, this way you know a bad disk, which has happened with Factions with the original Guild Wars doesn't corrupt your install. I tried installing from disk on my wife's computer, and it made a loud noise, are you hearing it from other disks as well or just this one?

Basically Anet and Blizzard games I always recommend using the web installer as opposed to the disk, and older games like Starcraft Broodwar, and Diablo II it fixes the windows Vista, 7, and 8 color glitches.

Just this one. I thought it may be because the CD is very large (although I'm not sure if this is a factor). Would've download it but it's a whopping 25GB and my internet speed isn't too good here. Thanks again :)

Yea, some drivers have trouble reading over the new copy protect, which is why the disk makes that noise, there are other disks that have had this issue as well, not just GW2.
