Ok, this is common with that CPU. What if any overclock so you have on your CPU? I have the same CPU and I had seen this when I was testing my overclock.

Thanks for the reply,
Its been clocked to 4.6GHZ.
The guys that build this PC Evetech solotions, do this as a standard clock for the i7 2600k and guarantee all the hardware for a year.

The Cpu runs pretty cool only at 40 degrees celcius at maximum operations.

I didnt do the overclock myself, I once had a look at this special Asus Bios, wound up taking the machine back to get it repaired, I learnt the hard way not to toutch hehe!

I never use to get these problems, for some reason it seems to happen when I browse the net using firefox or google chrome. Using Internet explorer at the moment.

Once your off the boat it's hard to get back on. I just looked at the manual for your MB and it seems to have the same layout as mine. So you should be able to compare to that guide is showed you.

I Had a look at the guide, seems very similar to the BIOS features that the ASUS P8P67 Pro has.
Its quite easy to do a good stable clock from there, but if you mess it up like I have.. Let's just leave it at that.

Any Idea why the BSOD's occurs?

Not sure. I am a bit lost. I would say up the Vcore just one setting but ... you know you don't want to risk that again. What you could do is in the bios is save the Bios profile. This save ALL of the Bios settings. Then if you want to go back you can just reload the setting. To get most mother boards including you MB in safe boot you turn on the computer and do the following:

Restart 1/2 sec, Restart 1/2 sec, Hold the power button in (right away) untill the computer turns off then turn the computer back on. It will say something about overclock failure and press F1 to continue. That is if you change something and it won't boot.

Hi,

Ive been running it at 1.385V for a while now and even tough it has not completely solved the problem, it does seem that the BSOD's are less.
I think its safe to say that there has been some improvement!
