Solved BSOD errors after failed CCC update

I don't remember what happened to cause this, but I wasn't able to have Windows full screen, there were black borders. I also couldn't select 1920 x 1080 in Catalyst Control Center under Desktop Area - Basic anymore. So i decided to update the CCC. During the update my PC crashed. Then I could only start it in safe mode and only after i cleared CMOS, otherwise I was getting stop codes, usually different every time. After a few headaches i managed to reinstall the CCC (after using Driver Sweeper) and my PC seemed to be repaired. Still, i couldn't use the 1920 x 1080 under Basic, but i could choose 1080p under HDTV and then use scaling to have the picture full screen. Yesterday, during a poker session, for which i use 2 monitors and a bunch of poker software (Holdem Manager 2, Table Ninja, Tournament Shark), my PC crashed again, with the error code D1. Minidump wasn't created for some reason.

I had error codes three times (about a month apart) before the CCC driver update. Twice the F4 and once the 101.

After the failed CCC driver installation i had these codes in order: D1 (jraid.sys), 7E, 3B, 3B (atikmdag.sys), FC, 50, 7E (Rt64win7.sys), 1E (Rt64win7.sys), 7E, 1E (USBPORT.sys), 50 (ks.sys), D1 (jraid.sys).

The only thing i did since yesterday's crash was doing the ATI Radeon HD 5700's driver rollback in device manager, from version 9.12.0.0 (12/19/2012) to 9.2.0.0 (9/27/2012) and disabled the "faulty" USB. I was getting the "USB Device not recognized" message after startup. This message started appearing after the failed graphics driver update.

Remove:

Start Menu\Programs\DAEMON Tools Lite

Download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

• Double click to open it.
• Click this button only:
• 
• If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

Daemon Tools uses a driver called sptd.sys, which is known to cause BSODs with Windows 7. It is recommend you remove this program, and use Windows own in-built features or ImgBurn.

Reduce the number of programs at startup, to avoid any driver or program conflicts:

Keep your AV program enabled at boot.

Hey!

Thanks for helping. I removed Deamon Tools and installed the Realtek driver. But i don't know which Jmicron RAID Driver should i install. All the latest drivers in 1394, CardReader, Ethernet, Sata_Controller folders? Both the Filter and WinDrv in 1394 folder?
I also don't see the option to download and install just the WHQL driver without the CCC. What should i do?

Use the Custom Installation option - Can you install drivers without installing CCC?

Hey!

I installed the latest video driver without the CCC. Although i had an error, everything installed successfully, except "install package".

I'm pretty sure I don't have the Raid configuration. Should i leave the JMicron RAID Driver alone?

Hi!

I'm really sorry for a late response, i had some personal problems and had to move to a different location.
Yesterday I had another BSOD while purging hand histories within HM, basically deleting oldest ones, which is a 2 day process since my database is so big. Being stupid, i changed windows theme from aero to windows 7 basic while the program was working in the background, which probably caused the crash. The error was jraid.sys which i hadn't removed yet. Should i remove all of the files from JMicron or just the jraid.sys?
