Solved BSOD errors when watching videos and playing games.

Hi there.

The last 4 days or so i have been experiencing roughly 2-3 BSOD's pr day on my system.

These faults usually happens when i am playing games or streaming videos online.

I have no hardware changes on the computer in a few months and i am not skilled enough to find out what these errors might be.

I have attached the zip file with all the info needed from the diagnostic tool.

Hope i can get some tips on what is making my otherwise very stable computer act up suddenly.

All the current software i have has been working flawlessly for months.

Hi

I can only see 1 BSOD ... whereas you said you had 2 or 3 ????

Anyways please Update your bios to the latest Version 3029

and remove the pagefile from the SSD

Do these and let me know.

Hi thank you for the reply.

Very weird you can only see 1BSOD in my files. I have had one of them today and yesterday and the day bfore i had 2-3 each of those days.

Removing the pagefile from my SSD wich is also my OS systemdisk..i keep getting a msg that windows will not be able to report errors correctly if i set the pagefile to 400mb or less OR remove it completely. Should i still do this?

I will update my bios i just have not done it since the improvements over my current bios has not been of any need to me.

Well let me put it this way... if you wish to keep trashing your SSD( meaning excessive read and write) with the paging file. Then you may keep it...There is no hard and fast rule to follow this.. but if you want to keep SSD's for a long time... its advisable to do so.

Well with only 1 BSOD it premature to come to conclusions.... but the BSOD points to Directx file which is part of windows... which is related to graphics..now... if you look at the BIOS update.. there are lot of compatibility update... which may resolve you issue..

So let try that first .

Thnx for confirming it is safe to turn off the pagefile on the SSD. My knowledge of these things are not so vast so i usually just let things install and run the way they are,luckily without many problems the last few years

I will update the bios like i said. You say the BSOD points to a direct x file and that it is most probably connected to a graphics issue.

I am just amazed that things just suddenly decide to happen when the current bios and gfx card has worked flawleslly together but i guess during updates from drivers and or direct X funny things might happen to ones hardware

I will update the topic and hopefully the steps you advice will help me solve the problem.

Updated my BIOS to the newest version and so far no errors. Been playing games all weekend and no bsod.
