Solved BSOD from Graphics card

Hi Mate.

Thanks for being here again. Wondered if you came, but fortunately you did :-)

About restore. This is a new install -one week old-, but I have recognized this same issue before if running DVBviewer.

As it is TV, the handling of graphics could be overwhelming for the cullprit, that seems -again- to be the Nvidia stuff here.

Well take care, and I can wait for you untill you have time for it.

Hey Darkhorse,

I checked your post but actually need the dump file itself so if you could post that would be great.

In the meantime I looked at the dump file and if you check this page here:

NVIDIA Statement on TDR Errors - NVIDIA Forums

You'll note that it's actually for vista and a little dated but it's the tips down near the bottom of the page which might prove helpful. The dump file relates to a TDR/nvlddmkm.sys event and this page will help you with 'run-down' of what to check for. I hope you find it soon .. :)
Regards
Ross

Ok I checked your dump file and nothing new really although your system drivers need updating. You need to check everything and make sure it's the latest version.
That includes Bios too.

You could also try running the hotfix again but this time right-click and 'run as admin'.

Lastly, consider upgrading. That card is starting to really show it's age and depending on the rest of your system a new gpu can make it seem like you have a new computer.
:)

I had that idea too. Nothing new there, but wonder why it came up again.
After I recognized it first time, I ran the hotfix, and as administrator.

There's no news for the mobo on the ASUS site.

Also not on the intel site as well.

I have written with another hamradio fellow, that make computers for ham's, that runs SDR radios.

He suggested me to upgrade too. That allso will increase the Index.

He suggested me to get a HD5550 card, that also would increase the WEI.

I ran some of the suggestions recommended in the link you gave me, and they all were ok.

So the conclution must be to have a new graphics card.

Thanks for heliping me
