I have been working on solving this issue for about a month without success. Every time I Shutdown or Restart, the shutdown period takes at least 5-6 minutes, I get a BSOD (see attached jpg file), and then the system reboots. I can then generally shutdown the computer normally.

I have viewed the mini-dump files but they do not show a consistent cause, i.e., the file causing the issue changes. I have updated all of the drivers. I have cleaned up the registry. I have removed any unneeded external devices. I have updated Windows consistently. No new hardware has been added that caused the issue that I can recall, other than a USB Wireless connector that has been removed and the computer is now connected by hardwire to router.

I have attached the zip file with the analysis from DM Log Collector. Note that it appears to be only one DMP file, while I get a new mini-dump file at each shut down).

Any help would be appreciated, and please let me know if you need any further information. Thank you!

Please run the DM Log Collector again and upload a new zip, the current uploaded one misses several logs.
You could check if there are
  1. 18 .txt,
  2. 1 .nfo,
  3. 1 or more .dmp,
files present, if this is the case then all logs are present :)
If there are a few missing, no problem as we can get them manually if required :)

Thank you for your post and help.

The dm log collector.exe file does not seem to work correctly on my system. I have run it multiple times and again this morning. It will run (as Administrator) and while it says it has completed, at the end it displays an error message after writing a folder titled "SFdebugFiles" on the desktop and a zip file.

The zip file that is written is "locked" and only the Administrator can access. It contains only one DMP file. In order to view the zip file contents, or upload the file to this Forum, I have to change the file properties Security. An example is what I posted before.

In running it this morning, while there are 20+ files created, none of the files you listed under 1-3 are in the SFdebugFiles folder it created. I have however zipped all of the files in the SFdebugFiles folder and attached them to this post.

Let me know if there is there are any other ways that I should be running the dm log program, or what other information you may need.

Thank you again for your help.

I have not yet updated the BIOS. For the past two days my PC has faithfully shutdown without any issues (about seven shutdowns). The only changes is that I updated Adobe Lightroom 5 to version 6, and I turned off the desktop background which was displaying large image files. Neither of these should have corrected the problem, but I want to wait another few days to see if the shutdown problem returns. I will update the BIOS on Sunday and let you know the status.

Thank you again for the help.

Great to hear!

Even if your problem is resolved without the BIOS update, I would still recommend to perform the update.

After updating the BIOS on Monday, I have not had a single BSOD on shutdown. So since I typed this, of course it will not return (just kidding). Thank you again for the help.
