I ran seagate and the quick check came up clear.

I did the safe restart and came up normal.

The only thing I haven't been able to do yet has been the disk check.

The strange thing is that now the computer seems to be running alright but I'll let you know if something happens again which I'm virtually sure it will. Even if nothing happens, the computer acting strange like this means there must be something wrong.

Thanks for all your help so far Gator. I really appreciate you hanging in there with me.

Lets try to see if this may be malware/virus related.

First, enter Safe mode w/Networking
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/69585-safe-mode.html

Download Revo Uninstaller and uninstall the programs below.

When using Revo: Select Advanced option > Select All/Delete all with both scans

Remove the following program(s):
Driver Restore
AVG (known to cause BSOD's)

Download and run TDSS killer and Malwarebytes
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...r-detect-repair-tdss-rookits.html#post2836778
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/338716-malwarebytes-anti-malware-free.html

Also, Superantispyware and ADWCleaner (both links download automatically)
SUPERAntiSpyware - Downloading File
https://toolslib.net/downloads/finish/1/

After running those scans, post the txt files created by them in your next post.

Also, can you also run an SFC Scan? Follow the directions all the way through and post the log (the text file you save on your desktop as per the instructions) in your next post as well

Okay. Here's the update.

I uninstalled AVG and Displayfusion. I ran the TDSS killer. I tried to run the SFC scan and it said I had to be an administrator running a console session to do that. I'm running the ESET scan now.

In terms of performance, my computer inexplicably ran flawlessly last night then started having problems again this morning. I think the display error issue was related to display fusion but then I've had several blue screens of death. I'll send you the info on those.

Ok keep me posted. Do you have administrator permissions on this PC? SFC scan required you run it as an administrator.

The scan found 4 threats but before I could do anything about it I got a blue screen and then another as it was starting up. I did a cold boot and now I'm back to a working mode.

Ok, we need to see if we can get whatever threats are found before we can eliminate a virus/malware related.

All these things that are happening are so off the wall. I wonder what could be the cause of all my problems with blue screens and freezes.

When I removed display fusion and avg, the freezing and errors stopped but the blue screens started happening again.

Any guesses as to what the issue might be?

I'm doing another scan and its 91% and no threats found yet. I don't know if it took care of the 4 other threats but as soon as I touched the mouse, I instantly got a blue screen followed by another dying the subsequent start up.

Same problem, I think we can safely say either your Hard drive or Motherboard is definitely bad.

Code:
ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc000000e - A device which does not exist was specified.
Is either your motherboard or hard drive still under warranty? You can try another hard drive but this is two now, there is a small chance you have two hard drives that are bad so if you can return it or find another hard drive somewhere that you can return if in fact it turns out to be the motherboard.

If its the motherboard, I recommend getting the same exact motherboard and simply replacing it. Either by RMA or just buying a new one outright.
