BSOD - Memory_Management as well as other errors.

Hello!

I purchased parts and built a PC last week and have been running into a bit of a snag with random BSOD issues. The one that seems to be most common is "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" when I was running in Windows 8.

Last night I switched over to Windows 7 hoping that I would not run into the same problems. I installed my motherboard, video card, and other drivers as well as DOTA 2 from Steam. I played 2 games of DOTA 2 without any problems and left the system on to download from Battle.net and Steam. This morning when I went to check on downloads I logged onto my PC to see that the computer had restarted with an unexpected crash.

When I first started encountering BSOD it was when trying to download multiple games from Steam (I queued them up as Steam will only download one at a time).

Throughout the past week I have had BSOD occur during the following things.

1. Downloading games off of Steam (normally leads to Memory_Management)

2. Once when playing Dota 2

3. A string of BSOD after the initial when not doing much

4. Coming out of a state where I wasn't doing hardly anything, I moved my mouse and got a BSOD

The error also is not always the Memory_Management error. I have received other errors that I cannot recall off the top of my head.

I am currently in the process of getting my RAM switched out by Newegg but was looking for some other ideas. I ran a test on my harddrive, that passed. I did the windows memory check, that passed. I have had crashes with hardly any drivers on Windows 8. I have had crashed with all the drivers on Windows 8. Crashes on Windows 8.1, and now crashes on Windows 7 without the Windows update drivers.

The randomness of the crashes leads me to believe that it is the RAM which is why I requested a return, but I know computers are not that simple and it could be many other things. I came here hoping I could get some ideas thrown my way and also maybe have someone analyze the dump files (although I have never had to produce those before).

I am open to any suggestions/help that can be provided. Currently I am at work or I would do my best to provide some sort of files to analyze.

Thank you!

Yeah I am sorry about that - I threw it in general discussion because I did not have any logs to provide due to being at work. I will do my best to get those when I am home.

Thank you.

A little more background as something has changed. I have 2x 8gb GSKILL Ram and have tested one of the sticks by itself as well as the two at the same time. Today before I left for work (nearly 10 hours ago) I removed the other stick of RAM and left the one 8GB stick by itself that I have not left alone yet.

I queued up 8 game installs from steam before I left and came home to no errors and all of my games installed.

I was planning on including the DMP from another crash when I came home but it looks like the system held up while I was gone so I am hoping it was just a faulty stick.

Anyways, here are the logs from my last crash. If you need anything else please let me know.

Thank you!

EDIT - If I am missing any files I am sorry, I went ahead and changed the system to record small memory dumps if my problems continue.

Went all day yesterday with out a blue screen using one of the two sticks of RAM I bought. I also switched to my dads RAM for a couple of hours so I could return what I believe was the faulty stick (I bought it in a pair).

Not sure if anyone saw the logs I posted or if I even did them correctly. If anyone does take a look at them I guess it would be nice to have confirmation that it was a RAM problem.

Thanks everyone!

Don't worry about the wait it's not a big deal I appreciate any help you guys provide.

I updated every single windows update last night besides some 43 MB IE update that wouldn't go through for some odd reason. I also downloaded and updated all of the drivers I could.

I went from 9:30AM to 8:00PM without a BSOD (Installed 8 games on Steam).

from 8:00PM to 10:30PM I updated Windows drivers and switched to a separate RAM stick without any errors as well.

from 10:30 to 1:00 I was able to test it out on 4k settings maxxed out with games and then the Final Fantasy 14 Heavensward benchmark maxed out.

Nothing provided any errors of any sort so that was encouraging.

Do you need me to provide any more sort of files when I get back from work or will anything I provide only be useful if I BSOD (which I hope to god doesn't happen again)

If you could just re-run the DM Log Collector and upload the new complete logs that would be great.

May I make a note.
Downloading games and other things without a anti virus program leaves you open to a lot of bad things that can cause all kinds of problems.

You definitely need an anti virus, good catch Jack. Install MS Security Essentials and MalwareBytes.

   Note
Make sure you uncheck the 'Enable Free Trial' box when installing.

No BSOD since changing my ram.

Was also able to run the new FFXIV Heavensward benchmark with settings at absolute max in 4k flawlessly, this thing is a beast!
