Solved BSOD, multiple errors 0x0000003b, 0x0000007e, 0x0000007f

Hi,

I've recently started seeing BSODs with my gaming rig. It first happened while playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, but after that would occur during post or shortly after.

I had not added any new hardware recently, or updated any drivers. Rig had been stable since I built it 18 months ago. No overclocking.

I checked my drivers, and my graphics driver is up to date. I updated the drivers for some of my peripherals, which did not seem to help. Next I tried updating the chipset, but after that it seemed worse. I could not get past the login screen.

I then flashed my bios with the latest stable version. That got past me login (posting this on my comp).

I followed the steps to collect the previous crashes and was hoping you could look through them and identify anything I could fix. zip attached.

It looks like my memory is ok. No errors, and I ran the tests 12 times (because I didn't realize it kept going after the first time, and I left it running over night lol). Glad we checked though, as I was thinking of replacing it if I kept having issues.

I've actually not seen another bsod since I flashed the bios, so maybe I got lucky. I had to restart it a bunch of times when trying to run the memory test as it was not recognizing the usb drive I was trying to boot from. Ended up using a CD instead. Each restart was without problems. I'll try playing some games with it tonight and see if it crashes again.

Was there anything useful in the crash dumps?

If you have DAEMON TOOLS LITE. Remove that program . That program does cause BSODs . Use RevoUninstaller to remove the Program .

Open RevoUninstaller.
Click on DaemonToolsLite
Click on Uninstall
Click on Yes
On the Uninstall Mode choose Advanced then click Next
If the Built-in Uninstaller for Daemon Tools comes up Run that wait until it finishes . If it tells you to restart click on No and close the built-in Uninstaller .
On RevoUninstaller click on Next
It will scan for left over registry keys Click on Select ALL and click on the Delete button. Once that is done click on Next
Next it will scan for left over folders and files if found click on Select All and choose Delete. Once that is done Click on Next.
Once it says you have Successfully uninstalled . Restart the PC.

TO check if the SPTD.sys has been removed . Run the tool below

Click on Uninstall. If the button is greyed out . That means the SPTD.sys file has been removed . You may close the window . If not Click on the Uninstall button.

I did have that driver version for my graphics card, but I re-installed anyway in case it had become corrupted at some point.

Also uninstalled Daemon Tools Lite.

Computer started and ran without issues last night. Uptime was over 5 hours, and included gaming. At this point things are looking good, so I'll mark it as solved.
