Solved BSOD need help~~! Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit ntoskrnl.exe+72a40

Hi, all. I got this BSOD randomly several times a day. And I could not figure it out how to fix it. The dmp shows the cause of this is the Driver ntoskrnl.exe, caused by address is ntoskrnl.exe+72a40. I used memtest to test my ram, and it all passed, I also replace a new HDD, new PSU, reinstall the windows 7, but the problem won't go away. Please help. I have already attach my zip file on this threat~~

It is a stop 0x124 BSOD. It is generally assumed to be a hardware related BSOD, but before going for hardware troubleshooting, it would be better to make the room a bit tidy and see the resulting situation.

Uninstall AUSU AI Suite II.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

• Double click to open it.
• Click this button only:
• 
• If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Now see how it goes. If it BSODs again, let us see the log files once again.

Thank you for the information. However, does that mean I can no longer use Asus Suit II and Daemon Tools if the BSOD is caused by those software?

Problem or no problem, not only you but anybody should not use those two things. Those two are two of three most often problem causers.

I uninstall the daemon tool and Asus Suit II, and running a BurnIn stress test for 15 mins, no BSOD so far. Do you recommend any software as a replacement for daemon tool? Cause I need virtual rom....thank you

All the disc image emaluator programs are equably problematic.

You may use either 7-zip or winrar. Both of them can extract all disc image files, so the basic job will be equally done. 7-zip is free and winzip involves a little price.
