BSOD - NETIO.sys when running uTorrent and downloading.

Hi, I am new here and am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell XPS. In the past few weeks I have been getting BSODs quite frequently I believe they occur when I am running uTorrent and/or downloading something but I am not positive. I would appreciate any help on this. I have attached the zipped files from diagnostic tool

Netio very often means hard drive problems. Go to the website of your hard drive manufactier and test the hard drive.

Hi, I have been to the western digital website and tested the hard drive, the tests didn't reveal any problems however.

Try using the verifier for 36 hours
Driver Verifier
I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

What is the purpose of running driver verifier?

It stresses the drivers and if there is a bad one it will show a BSOD & create a dump file, Hopefully with the culprit!!

Those reports often mislead when they give an offending driver. The approach that I use is giving verifier a chance, if results are the same as the original offending driver, I look into that area. You can check network first or go with verifier, at the end the results are the same. Your reports were not consistent, but Torrent is a good indication for Netio.

Ok i'll try verifier as soon as I can get a backup of all my files, my network connection sometimes drops out saying that it cant connect to a DNS server or something, would that have anything to do with it? Also how would I test the network connection?

What you want to do is go to the website of your network Intel and update the drivers. That may be all that you need. The fact that you have Torrent problems does point in that direction. The verifier would just attest to the fact that the network driver is the culprit. Why not update. I was trying to avoid a wild goose chase, by using the Verifier.
