Solved BSOD not specific to loading but always within 5 min of cold start

After work, crashed same BSOD ci.dll again almost immediately....
Monday-Tues it looks like I'm going to reinstall windows again.

confirmed Ci.dll is now locked into a deadly BSOD cycle, right after bootup and only one time around every time I fire it up.

Ok, change again.....
received in the mail a 4 GB stick to replace the bad one and put it in, Memtest86 is ok with it.
no BSOD so far !!! at least not the dependable Ci.dll BSOD that has been happening every time I boot up the last 5 or so times.

Still holding on what's up with the system, but a mem registry twix could have been causing havoc perhaps?

not sure.....

Nice. Now let us see how it goes.

Memtest should not be run less than 8 passes to complete the test.

Stuart, I think its time to perform a wipe and clean install. I can't see the value in chasing this elusive solution any longer.

Stuart, if any of the optional updates are drivers, then I would install them initially. They are Microsoft Certified, which I understand to mean there is less of a chance of them conflicting with Windows.

Thinking back, I had also upgraded my ram from 8 GByte to 16 GByte, when one stick was finally noticed to be bad and eventually replaced......still getting BSOD's, so I just pulled out the two added sticks to see if that has any effect.

Be tomorrow before I can see any difference that might make.
