All of these have happened during random times of the day. Playing league of legends. Browsing reddit. While I'm asleep. They seem to be VERY random. Normally once every two days. I've had two today, though.

Initially I thought it was a PSU problem(had 650watt) so I upgraded to 850watt and it didn't help.

I'll be running a memtest 86 as soon as I post this and that will be going for at least 8 hours.

About computer: new build(two weeks). Everything apart from the HDDs and RAM is new. All clocks are stock.

Nvidia GTX 660ti
Intel I5 4670k
MSI Z87-GD65
Gskill Ripjaws DD3 1600 16gb(4x4)

Thank you for your time.

Hello OhNoVix.

Some of the BSODs are caused by Killer e2200 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20) drivers.

Try to update those from Killer Gaming :: Support :: Driver Downloads

I also want to know ... which AV you are using?

Display driver is causing some issues too. Better you opt for a clean install with the version you have already installed. 0x3B BSODs are often caused by the wrong installation of the display driver.
Install the latest WHQL only.

  • Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
    • 3D Vision Control Driver
    • 3D Vision Driver
    • Graphics Driver
    • HD Audio Driver
    • PhysX
    • nvidia Update
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
  • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
  • Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, Download 320.49 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

And make it sure that the OCZ-VERTEX4 SSD is running with the up-to-date firmware.
OCZ Toolbox: Firmware & BIOS Updates

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Let us know the results.

You live dangerously, but dont make the computer force to live dangerously. You are not my concern, but your computer is :) :p

Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

It is needed, as you need clothes.

Okay everything is updated. I did install the antivirus you suggested. No threats were found with either.

If I could make one note though. The killer network drivers are a huge pain. Maybe suggest getting the Killer Cleaner(from the same link you gave, under utilities)? I spent an hour after running the KN uninstaller trying figure it out. Basically I was stuck with no internet and it REFUSED to install the new drivers. I had to go to a friends house and download the Killer Cleaner and put it on a usb stick. It worked in about 5 seconds and I was good to go!

Everything else went very smooth :) My SSD had the updated firmware, though.

Thank you very much for your time.

So there is no bonafide reason for that driver to fail, other than some bloatware causing issues there.
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\MSI
Start Menu\Programs\MSI\CommandCenter
Start Menu\Programs\MSI\Live Update 5
Start Menu\Programs\[COLOR=Red]MSI Intel Extreme Tuning Utility [/COLOR]
I blame the last one mostly ... they are not sure what they are tuning actually, and can cause any issue there. I'd recommend you to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219576-clean-up-factory-bloatware.html, with a special reference to Point #13
13. Consider a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which is often better than getting a new computer considering how pre-installed bloatware can corrupt Windows 7 even if it's completely cleaned up.

No bsod but while playing minecraft for a few hours my screen went black and flashed, on my system tray was "nvidia drivers stopped working and has recovered." I was tabbing between minecraft and youtube pretty often. nothing else going on my computer. a few people i've seen say it's a voltage issue, and a power saving issue. I removed all the power saving options for my GPU and hopefully that may fix something. If that doesn't work I'll try and up the voltage? really unsure what to think atm.

I doubt that it is voltage issue. Mostly it is either a driver issue, or a hardware issue. So first let us eliminate the chance of the driver issue. Have another version of display driver, say 314.22 WHQL. Uninstall everything, and then perform a clean install as mentioned earlier.

Observe minutely if it is behaving the same with the 314.22 WHQL or not. Let us know.

I removed the old drivers with ccleaner > used driver sweeper > installed new drivers w/ just PhysX and a clean installation.

memtest ran 7.5 passes over 10 hours the other night.. I guess I could test it again.

I'll stress test with furmark sometime today.

Three more things I will ask.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.
How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
eXtreme Power Supply Calculator
Also let us know the wattage of the PSU.

the 660 ti I have is the OC edition. it comes factory overclocked. ASUS GTX660 TI-DC2O-2GD5 GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Newegg.com

this is the exact card

PSU is a corsair 850w right out of the box, unless I have a severely broken brand new PSU wattage isn't the issue :(.

temps are ALL below normal levels.

I will let speccy run all day and post temps at the end. I've never seen anything overheat so I will be very surprised if it does.

If I go with all your statements, I have to suggest you to apply another one GPU and to observe the situation.... if it is behaving the same there or not.

If there is another GPU with friends and family that you can borrow for a day or so, get it.

And a crash while browsing reddit. This is with my old video card. This system hadn't blue screened or crashed in over two years so I can only assume it is a working one.
