Solved BSOD: ntsokrnl.exe(+more) - happens randomly

Not getting any adequate reason for the BSODs. All the drivers are failing here are the latest versions. The display driver (ATI driver this time, next to latest version) and the intel XHCI driver (latest version).

Suggesting you some common steps ....

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.
How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

both virus scanners found nothing. overclocking nothing. I reset cmos. memtest cleared 7.5 passes over 10 hours last week, but i'll run it again tonight. temps were at/below average yesterday but I'll keep an eye on them today.

if this is a hardware issue where do you think is the best place to start?

I updated the intel chipset drivers(two?) days ago, and after that the problems seemed to have stopped. Today I got an all too familiar BSOD and I was kind of sad. :(

temps for everything are fine, memtest ran 8 passes with 0 errors

Earlier I suggested you to use that version, but as it is causing the issues there, I would suggest you to uninstall the installed version of display driver totally, as suggested earlier; and then install 314.22 WHQL.

oh when I put in my gpu again(switched out old for new) I guess I just auto piloted and put in the newest drivers

with that said skype was randomly using 30% of my cpu ALL the time and I didn't notice it. I updated it and now it's using less than 1%.. so that's cool.

alright, these are dump logs from the last month. I re installed windows a month ago and did clean driver installations as you said to do throughout this thread.

the longest I went without a crash was eight days.

what I've changed: I removed my storage HDD so it is just my SSD.

what I've tested: it is NOT a temp issue, virus issue. I've ran memtest 7 passes three times with no errors.

=(

Random BSODs

Basically my computer has been giving me problems since I put it together a few months ago. I got the mobo/cpu right as they came out so I've been hoping that maybe some drivers or bios update would fix it but it hasn't so i'm posting here again.

These BSOD happen whenever. I could be playing a games, watching TV with just an empty desktop, browsing the internet. They don't seem to be tied to what I'm doing.

What I've done:

- memtest86+ overnight. 7 passes, all 0 error
- prime95, furmark. both run for over an hour with 0 problems
- temps are normal all the time
- re installed video drivers cleanly, updated bios, updated every driver I can think of

I uploaded my last three BSOD after updating my video drivers on 10/24/2013

Hi OhNoVix.

First of all, I am requesting the moderators to merge this thread with http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/298612-bsod-ntsokrnl-exe-more-happens-randomly.html, as you have not closed that thread .... and there should not be two running threads.

This time, the BSOD is pointing to Corsair USB Headset.

follow up for this:

memtest 86+ never found a single error, at all, ever. I did an absolutely thorough testing that included doing 1 stick of ram, in every slot, cycling it through. all in all it took over two weeks of testing overnight and never over 7+ passes for each one did I get an error

I removed 2 of my ram sticks and just put 8gb in dual channel(slot 1/3 for my mobo) and I haven't had a bsod in over 2 weeks now

I guess something about my two newer sticks was wrong.. I don't know. I don't really care. I'm not blue screening anymore o_o
