Hi,

Im seriously hoping 124 isnt always hardware, ive read a lot last few hours and registered hoping this can be solved. View attachment 305951 <-- hope i did that right.

The laptop seems to crash randomly, or after intense use... I ran HP's memtest and HDD test, no errors, running memtest 86 v4.3 now, passed a couple of times without errors...

Cant seem to find any info on files that might be the cause of these BSOD's, they are all 0124...

Really hope anyone can help,

Its is a HP G72-130, reinstalled it 3 days ago, manually updated every single driver, updated windows, its running on a Win 7 64 Home OS ... BSOD a couple of times a day, thought it was the Wifi driver but updated that and its still crashing:(

Kind regards

Unfortunately no faulting driver is flagged, so we must assume a hardware issue. Test using these stress tests.

RAM:
You MUST use Memtest86+ to test RAM - everything else is inferior. Run a minimum of 8 passes, preferably overnight, or until errors occur using MemTest86+.

Use this tutorial to help you use MemTest86+:

Thanks for the reply!

Ran mem86 overnight, 9 passes, no errors...

Running Prime95 now for an hour, all self test passed...

BSODvieuwer marks Hal.dll and ntoskrnl.exe , i have no idea what these do, but replacing them wont help i guess?

No, don't replace them, it will make things worse. What were the results of the other tests?

I didnt replace anything, oredered a 120gb ssd, installed windows on it and after the synaps touchpad installation it went to BSOD 124...

I think we can rule out the HDD option,,... and the mem test from MEM86 ran 9 passes, no errors...

Imho its not the HDD, nor the RAM ... Im clueless now really thought installing a new HDD (SSD) would fix the problem, but it didnt....

I ran intelburntest, 5 times all threads and IPDT passed, saved the testresults if needed. These tests passed and according to HWinfo my cpu didnt get higher then 72 degrees, according to intel Max is 90 degees..

I dont know what to make of it, should i run the more intensive tests as well? The laptop can just run for a day and not give a bsod, but it can also bsod on opening internet or a board game or such...

Hope this helps

Thanks for helping!!!

The CPU looks fine to me.

Uninstall the Synapics Touch Pad drivers, then monitor to see if more BSODs occur.
