I just recently bought a new computer from Newegg and I have been getting a few BSOD. Im not sure what the issue could be and after researching I figured it wouldbe best to post here and see what you guys can come up with. Its very annoying to get a new computer and start having problems with it fresh out of the box. I really hope you guys can help me as I bought this computer to play World of warcraft with and getting Blue screens while raiding is very upsetting. I did do a few steps and hopefully you guys can help me come up with a solution. I think I attatced the rar file of the program I installed in the instructions. If I do no reply it's because I have left for work but I will constanly be returning to this page, please help!

Windows 7 - 64bit (original OS installed)
-System I brought brand new but I had to update video drivers so i think the computer is out dated.
-I have no reinstalled the OS yet

First thing I would recommend you do is reinstall windows (I'm hoping they gave you a disc). For starters it could speed your computer up if there was any bloatware.
I would recommend that you buy a cheap small capacity hard drive, swap it for your current one and install windows onto it and see if BSOD still happen.

Nb. I'm afraid I'm not a BSOD analyst, but I have encountered many.

Hello,

It seems as if the video card may be the issue here. Start by uninstalling the graphics drivers completely, and installing fresh ones from here: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers
Code:
nvlddmkm.sys Thu Mar 17 04:08:59 2011 (4D81C19B)
If that doesn't help, see if you can try a different graphics card. If you are unable to do that, I suggest you return the computer to Newegg under the warranty.

I read a similar post and I did a clean install of the graphics card. I can do it again and see if it helps, I only get blue screens while gaming. Could the windows 7 drivers be out of date possibly? I also tried removing the norton anti virus that came with the system only to find it back after rebooting. (Removed through control panel, uninstall). If norton keeps comming back after rebooting could the old Nvidia drivers be comming back as well?

The drivers are dated March 2011; I doubt outdated drivers are the cause.

If you've done a fresh install of the drivers, we should start looking at a hardware problem. Do you have another video card you could test with?

No I do not. I havn't had this computer for a week yet (arrived last Thursday). So I really hope thats not the case, How would I go about uploading 2 of the mini dumps I have on my laptop? both of them won't let me access them and I am unclear how to run the takeownership.rar download.

I am uninstalling the entire graphics card device now, I will re install it and all the drivers, since this only happens while I am gaming Im not sure when I will get the next BSOD. If I get another I will post here again and see if we can go from there.

Don't worry about uploading the minidumps; they are automatically collected by the jcgriff2 scripts.

Okay. So based on what you found in the zip... Both of the summeries points to the graphics card or graphics card drivers?

Bump.. Still getting BSOD while gaming, did a complete reinstall of the graphics card and drivers.. Should I call MSI tech support and talk to them or just go a head and contact newegg for a replacement?

UPDATE: After a complete un-install of the graphics card, clean install of the graphcis card drivers, I still encounted a BSOD while playing League of Legends this time, other times have been while Playing World of Warcraft. I am attatching another 2 .rars so hopefully we can find a solution before I call tesh support. I realize it's late and will bump the post tomorrow. I am very stressed out about this, especially since this is a laptop I just bought and not even had for a week.

Anyone online able to look over the jcgriff and perform and give me any insight? Any help would be greatly appreciated

The error message on the blue screen is: Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed. I have already done a clean install of the video card and drivers, still getting blue screen. Any information would be helpful!

Hello,

Just FYI - when I'm running behind on my threads like I am now, I start with the oldest ones and move toward the top; I got to this thread after several others with older timestamps. In other words, bumps are detrimental.

I suggest you send the computer back to Newegg ASAP, before the warranty period expires.
