I just purchased a new PC with an i7 920 9GB Ram etc. and its a state of the art system for the money, or so I thought. I have done a clean install to Windows 7 RTM, but unfortunatly I have run into some random phantom BSODS. The error message is :

Cock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.

I know you may think this is a hardware failure, but I ran numerous stress tests on all components with Prime95 etc., and no crashes. It normally occurs if I have resumed from sleep or hibernate, anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour later. I dont think I have had one BSOD yet druing aa cold boot. I have read that this was a problem on Server R2 beta for some time, but I do not have any solutions. While I think it could be related to Power Management or Networking, I am not sure. Thanks for your help, full system specs below. I also attached the DUMP file from the BSOD.

e9180f freezes

Have not tried Windows 7 but had similar sounding freeze problems with e9180f on Vista. Original mother board was Truckee version 1.03. Returned system and got a new one which is working OK - so far(three weeks). New motherboard is Truckee version 1.04.

'System Information for Windows' freeware at SIW | System Information for Windows by Gabriel Topala provided motherboard info and much more.

If its a known motherboard issue, and there is no known workaround for it, then you really dont have any options but to either wait till they fix it, or replace/return the mobo... prolly not what you wanted to hear, but there it is..
