Solved BSOD on Shutdown

Sometimes when I try to shutdown my computer it gives me the BSOD and restarts Windows. Can someone tell me how to fix this.

Here are my computer specs:
-Windows 7 Home Premium
-Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8800 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs)
-LENOVO 2764CTO - Intel GM45/GM47 Chipset
-2.9GB Dual-Channel DDR3
-ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series
-Speakers (Conexant 20561 SmartAudio HD)
-250GB Western Digital WDC

Just fixed one of these moments ago and now the same for you.

Update this driver:

for your Intel gigabit lan.

That will fix it but you actually have tons of outdated drivers too. I'd suggest a clean install instead of the upgrade you previously did.

Thank you. I can't actually do a true clean install because I just have the update disks from lenovo.

You're welcome. Search around the site. There are legal ways to do clean install with that. I'm almost sure of it. Or start a thread asking about it in installation section.

Okay, I am still in need of help. I don't know how to find the right drivers. Could you point me in the right direction?

Intel's website. If you don't know how to manually find the right driver for the lan, let the website autoscan the machine to install.

I went to the site you posted and ran the scanner for drivers and it gave me this information.

But when I tried to install the drivers it gave me an error. The picture is attached.

The exe I downloaded is called: PROVISTA32.exe. So I think it doesn't see that I have Windows 7.

Use the device manager to install.

Right click on it. Update driver software. Browse my computer. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Find the .inf that the installer extracted and double click on it. Hit ok. Hit next.

Reboot after.

Okay. I also noticed that Google Chrome is not compatible with the scanner so I re-ran it using IE. And it gave me a different set of drives. As always your help is very much appreciated.
