Hello I've been trying to fix this BSOD problem forever. I'll run a memtest after this post.

I ran the program in the post stickied in this board and I've attached it with the performance monitor html as well.

as for the questions

Is Windows 7 . . .
- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x86 (32bit)
- the original installed OS on the system? It's a custom built machine the original windows i installed on it was windows xp but this is a fresh install after a full reformatting of my hard drive.
- an OEM or full retail version? Retail version
- What is the age of system (hardware)? The ram is about 4 years old. the CPU, motherboard, and videocard are about a year old. The hard drive is probably about 2 years old.
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) Should be less than a year. no i have not reinstalled the os

How many passes did it make? It needs to make seven passes minimum. That usually takes 6 - 8 hours.

No problem. Many times, errors do not show up in three passes. The RAM has to be stressed longer than that. I recently saw a case where errors did not show until the 13th pass and that turned out to be mismatched RAM.

Run Memtest from a cold boot the first thing in the morning and see what you get. It could also be a power supply problem. Do you have access to another known good PSU you could test with?

i should have one in the garage somewhere i will try it out. i did suspect it might be the problem since my video card's minimum req. is right on my psu's output.

That makes it a good possibility. A PSU's output declines with age.

i pulled 1 stick of ram out (2 left now) and it boots right in. so i assume it's a ram problem.

I agree with Jonathan, especially in light of what you posted about your PSU being marginal for your graphics card. After you get your new PSU, you can check your RAM.

That is really good news! Congratualtions. Please post back in a couple of days and update us on how your system is doing. I hope we can mark this thread as solved. :)
